Intense ‘Twilight’ Birthing Scene Triggers Seizure Reports

This report is hitting the wires tonight:

“A local man says the latest movie in the popular ‘Twilight’ franchise triggered a seizure, and similar incidents have been reported in theaters around the country. Brandon Gephart and Kelly Bauman said they were watching “Breaking Dawn: Part One” at a theater Friday night when Brandon sudden began convulsing during a graphic birthing scene. Brandon said he doesn’t remember anything until he woke up on the theater floor, but Kelly said he was, “convulsing, snorting, trying to breathe.” “He scared me big time,” she added. Paramedics transported the man to the emergency room and the theater had to cancel the rest of the movie for that showing.”

More at link.

Well. That was interesting… The intense scene they are talking about is the scene of the birth of the hybrid being created when the human woman and the demonic vampire procreated. My concerns of this movie’s penetration into American cultural consciousness have been explored at depth already, here “Are vampire babies even possible”. This situation reminds me of several prophetic verses which seem to match what is prophesied to come at the end time. These verses speak of conditions at or very near the Tribulation, which we are not in now, but may be close to beginning. The fullness of the conditions of what the verses speak of will come to perfect fruition at that time. What we are seeing now is just the whiff of the beginning, in my opinion. What we DO know is that time will be a long horror show that doesn’t end when the credits roll…

As it was in the Days of Noah, so shall it be at the coming of the Son of man.” (Matthew 24:37.) So, what was it like in the days of Noah?

“When men began to increase in number on the earth and daughters were born to them, the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose. Then the LORD said, “My Spirit will not contend with man forever, for he is mortal; his days will be a hundred and twenty years.” The Nephilim were on the earth in those days—and also afterward—when the sons of God went to the daughters of men and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown.” (Genesis 6:1-4).

This set of verses reports a situation where the fallen angels (sons of God) took women (daughters of men) and mated with them, producing a hybrid race of half human, half demonic beings that were giants. Og, King of Bashan was a giant, as were Goliath and his four brothers. These giants were what the spies saw, who were carrying man-sized grapes at the entry to the Promised Land (Numbers 13:32-33). I can’t imagine what it was like for those women in the days of Noah who gave birth to these hybrids… I suspect that the scenes from Twilight are very close to reality depicting what it may have been like at that last time and is prophesied to happen in real life again.

The days of Noah were also close to being like the culture we live in today: “The LORD saw how great man’s wickedness on the earth had become, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time.” (Genesis 6:5).

The words in the verse indicate a total permeation of evil: “every inclination”, “all the time.” There was no good in them at all.

Last, this verse also comes to mind though it may not be as applicable, or maybe it is: “Men will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken.” (Luke 21:26).

Are vampire babies even possible?

That is the trending question today on Yahoo!. Apparently the success of the Twilight series on books and film is continuing unabated. Twilight is the saga of a ‘nice’ vampire- Edward- and the human woman he loves – Bella. They married and now she is pregnant with an undead vampire-human hybrid. A werewolf is the point of view from which the series is told.

This saga is very popular in many levels. Young women, and not a few men, think that it is romantic. It is romantic, they swoon, that Edward doesn’t bite Bella to make her be undead, too. He has been instilled with a sense of morality by his father, a real human, and thus Edward refuses to consider humans as food. (This is what passes for morality these days?). So readers love Edward’s restraint. They love the series’ romanticism because of Edward’s gallantry, even though he needs to subsist on blood and that means killing things and drinking blood.

The latest iteration of the series focuses on Bella and her baby. The trending question is an interesting one. We passed go when we accepted that vampires could be nice. We apparently cruised by the point of accepting or not accepting that there could be the undead walking around. We long hurtled beyond the horizon of incredulity over marriage and sexual relationships between human and otherworldly bloodthirsty creatures who usually only want to destroy humans. Now we’re onto inter-species baby-making. The opening of the latest movie is said to bring in 140 million dollars. No small change, and Breaking Dawn is the fourth installment! This series is a moneymaker, its popularity and ability to rake in the money never seem to wane.

This acceptance, curiosity, and  romanticism of otherworldly creatures has a biblical precedent. As Solomon said in Ecclesiastes, there is nothing new under the sun. (Ecc 1:9). In Genesis 6 we read the following:

“So when men began to be multiplied upon the earth, and there were daughters born unto them, Then the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair, and they took them wives of all that they liked. (Gen 6:1-2). There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown. (Gen 6:4).”

The sons of God are the angels. The angels being mentioned in the Genesis verse are the fallen angels, the ones who are rebuked for having left their first estate and are now incarcerated in gloomy dungeons. (June 1:6; 2 Peter 2:4). Angels are referred to as the sons of God in Job 1:6, and in Job 38:7, it is a common term for them. Some have been shown in the bible to manifest as humans, even though they are spirit men. (Hebrews 13:2).  We know that Jesus said that the angels do not marry, (Mark 12:25) but not that they cannot marry, and by extension, have intercourse with human women. In any case, the bible tells us that they did. They saw the women, took all they wanted, and mated. Their offspring were giants, and they were the mighty men of old. (This is the origin of the Greek myths of the ancient heroes of Hercules etc, who were offspring of ‘gods’ who came down and mated with women. I wrote about that here). However, these tribes of giant hybrid offspring were upon the earth in those days before the flood, and it was them along with wicked man who pulled the world to the brink of an evil so great that there was only one righteous man left: Noah.

Genesis 6:5 states: “Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.” And in Genesis 6:3 the LORD said, “Then the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, because he also is flesh; nevertheless his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.” God sent the Flood.

There is precedent for the Lord taking His Spirit from the earth prior to major judgment, as Gen 6:3 says and Paul revealed will also happen prior to the future Tribulation judgments. (2 Thessalonians 2:6). The Lord also said that the last days will be like the Days of Noah, indicating that evil will be almost at a 100% saturation level with evil in men’s hearts, the Spirit being removed from His restraining ministry, and also, possibly, the Nephilim coming back.

Are vampire babies even possible, the article’s author wondered. Yes, the bible shows us that the old vampires, the fallen angels who beguiled women and hypnotized them into frenzies of lust (as folklore says vampires are wont to do) are likely coming back. The Hollywood and Publishing House preparation and desensitization of the populace to these concepts are going gangbusters. So can you even make a vampire baby? If Genesis 6:4 is to be believed, and it IS, then the answer is yes. My opinion is that there will be plenty of vampiric type shenanigans in the Tribulation. For Twilight fans, I have one message: be careful what you romanticize!

Vampire causes car crash

Vampires afoot!

Western Slope woman blames vampire for car crash
“FRUITA, Colo. – If a Western Slope woman is to be believed, vampires may be lurking in Colorado’s Grand Valley. The woman claims she spotted a vampire in the middle of a dirt road near Fruita, Colo. Sunday night. She told Colorado State Troopers she was startled by the undead being, threw her SUV into reverse, and crashed into a canal. She was not injured. State Troopers say the woman’s husband arrived at the scene and took her home. The vampire, which was not seen by anyone else, apparently let her get away. Troopers do not suspect drugs or alcohol to be factors in the crash.” [photo source]

Another news report says the woman claimed the vampire was chasing her, indicating it was more than a momentary glimpse or indicating an event that lasted longer than a blink.

I am not discounting that was what she saw, nor am I automatically accepting it. I’ll tell you why at the bottom. But in pursuit of logic, I wonder the following:

Why would a perfectly sane, adult woman who was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol, say she saw a figure she understood to be a vampire. Whatever it was, however, the apparition so frightened her, that she changed course in her car, and was again so terrified that the changed course was frantic enough that she lost control of it. Since vampires differ in likeness from humans very little, then how did she know this particular figure was a vampire, and not, say, a crazed hobo with bad teeth? Why would a person in all other regards choose a vampire as the catalyst for petrifying fear? Not a knife-wielding man, not a werewolf, not a ghost, not even a bear on hind legs (being a dirt road in Colorado) but a vampire? And what would cause a woman who was so positive of her identification, that she reported it to the police, which is a public statement, knowing that public mocking was sure to follow?

What would be going on here? Several things.
–She was under the influence of a kind of drug contradiction of mixed meds that was not immediately apparent to police. [But police can generally tell if a person is under the influence and the article said that she seemed not to be affected by alcohol or drugs
–She was delusional, having a breakdown. [But police are trained to evaluate marginal people and make an on-the-spot determination if they are a danger to themselves or others]
–She was lying [But it’s unlikely she would choose to construct such an outrageous lie that would tarnish her reputation and then stick with it under questioning over a period of time]
—She really saw a vampire [This one is harder to refute than all the rest. Why? because of the refutations above that exclude most reasonable answers and because no one can say she didn’t see a vampire. Also for biblical reasons, see below–]

The bible says that the time prior to the tribulation and during the tribulation would be rife with with deception. (2 Corinthians 11:13; 2 Thessalonians 2:10; Luke 21:8; Mark 13:5…) We know and understand that Satan appears as an angel of light and it should be no surprise that his angels will appear as ministers of righteousness too. What this verse tells me is that the Savior of the Universe warned us over and over not to be deceived, therefore it is a time of risk of deception. Deception comes from Satan, the father of lies, and donly satan, the father of lies. The bible tells us that satan will be afoot, and after all, he is the god of this world. That satan and his angels can morph into different figures in order to deceive. We cannot rule out that ot was a demon of some sort, perhaps indeed appearing as a vampire. Further…

Moreover, when satan is afoot, the atmosphere darkens. His presence is accompanied by an oppressive, fear-inducing terror that rises beyond reason and logic and causes panicked decision-making beyond all reason and logic. It causes physical, biological changes in a person that likely include hyperventilating, adrenaline rushes, and sweating, rapid heart rate, and confusion. At least, this is what the horror books repeatedly tell us, and it is what we imagine from the described confrontations Jesus had with demons in the bible. If indeed some kind of demonic apparition appeared on the dark road and this woman saw it and felt the attendant terror, it makes perfect sense that she would shift her car into reverse and overshoot the road, landing in the ditch.

Of course, it also makes perfect sense that the woman was hysterical for some other reason. We just don’t know.

However, this brings up another issue. The current cultural climate is one that is increasingly friendly to vampires. Vampires have been re-tooled into something dark and romantic. I wrote more about that issue, here. The “Twilight” book and movie series is the latest of the vampire-friendly phenomena that have infiltrated the minds of the vulnerable and caused them to re-think vampires’ evilness. In this case, it is tweeners of age 11-12 and young female teens. The breakdown of the family and the scourge of absent fathers has caused a generation of young women to long for the stability of the father-figure. Jesus IS this father-figure, but satan has been successful in corrupting the loving Father-relationship through his demons, to the extent that a question about the popularity of vampires is answered thus:

“What…would a young lady in that age group love most [about the vampire in Twilight]? “A handsome, dark stranger who loves them … and will never die,” he jokes. The bright, loving father who loves them and will never die is Jesus. But our youth are being swayed by the erotic meanderings of well-written books and movies that corrupt the notion of pure love, stable relationships, and of how men are supposed to behave toward women. Anyone who says that this pervasive attitude presented through media has no effect on the psyche of the receiving populace, is kidding themselves.

That the woman in the car crash was in such terror that she fled a location that she obviously traveled often and was familiar with speaks volumes. I won’t say that she didn’t see a vampire, or some other evil apparition, not when the bible is clear that they exist (demons) and that they are given this world to run rampant upon.

Christians, I hope that you are not choosing to indulge in the corrupt media’s cultural perversions by reading these books or watching these movies, because it only exacerbates the situation. Stay true to the Word, because “Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.” (Titus 1:15) Most importantly, “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” (Philippians 4:8)
