Indiana unemployment office adds armed guards (Updated)

Everyone who studies the bible understands explicitly that the Tribulation (Time of Jacob’s Trouble) will be a time of upheaval and war. Everyone who has heard about Revelation but isn’t a believer or hasn’t studied understands implicitly that it will be a time of upheaval and war. Rev 6:4 says–

“And another, a red horse, went out; and to him who sat on it, it was granted to take peace from the earth, and that men would slay one another; and a great sword was given to him.”

But even more than war, look at the last part of the verse again. “take peace from the earth.” A privilege we have been granted (peace) will be taken (purposely removed) from the earth (the ENTIRE earth). This means that there will be nowhere that will experience peace- of any kind- not just war. Armed conflicts of any and all kinds will be the order of the day. Tribal conflicts, armed robberies, protecting one’ self and family by means of violence… The word peace in this context, in the Greek is eirene, meaning a peace (literally or figuratively); by implication, prosperity — one, peace, quietness, rest, welfare. What will be happening is not just the opposite of peace (war), but conflicts of ALL kinds.

If your welfare and personal safety is at risk, you do not have peace. Many Americans say “not here, not us.” But the bible is clear: peace will be taken from the earth. Even, probably especially, America. We can see the precursors to this coming judgment setting up now. I was startled to read the following in today’s news:

Unemployment Offices To Add Armed Guards
“Armed security guards will be on hand at 36 unemployment offices around Indiana in what state officials said is a step to improve safety and make branch security more consistent.  No specific incidents prompted the action, Department of Workforce Development spokesman Marc Lotter told 6News’ Norman Cox. Lotter said the agency is merely being cautious with the approach of an early-December deadline when thousands of Indiana residents could see their unemployment benefits end after exhausting the maximum 99 weeks provided through multiple federal extension periods.”

Look at that crowd. It wouldn’t take much for a mob scene to break out. People who are counting on those checks for their family, to feed their children, to keep a roof over their heads, would start rioting in a moment if they thought money was running low. And this isn’t the first time armed uprisings have been mentioned. Last week Gulf Coast residents got together: Feeling Abandoned, Gulf Coast Residents Issue A Call To Arms

Many fellow Republicans edged away from a candidate who said this week that violent overthrow isn’t out of the question:

GOP Candidate for Congress Says a Violent Overthrow of Government Is ‘On the Table’
“Stephen Broden, a pastor and GOP nominee for Texas’s 30th district, which covers most of Dallas, is not one of those hysterical militant types who wants everyone to go grab their weapons and overthrow the government. No sir. He wants a “revolution,” sure, but at the ballot box. And if that doesn’t work, then okay, an actual revolution. “Republican congressional candidate Stephen Broden stunned his party Thursday, saying he would not rule out violent overthrow of the government if elections did not produce a change in leadership.”

But he wasn’t the only one to be talking this way, Sharron Angle has been saying it for three months:

“LAS VEGAS – There’s no doubt a chunk of the electorate is angry with the federal government. But are voters willing to take up arms? In Nevada, Sharron Angle — the Senate candidate who wants to unseat Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid –seemed to raise that specter in three interviews in the past six months, suggesting that some would seek “Second Amendment remedies” if Congress isn’t reined in.”

Back to the Indiana unemployment office and the arming of the office guards. Take a look at the photo at the top again… and ponder this: The Friday after Thanksgiving is called Black Friday and always comes with giveaways, discounts, and low prices, often for the certain first number of customers who get there. So crowds start lining up and often there is a police presence to quell the agitated and excited crowds. In 2008, a Wal-Mart worker was killed in the stampede to get to the toys.

“A worker died after being trampled and a woman miscarried when hundreds of shoppers smashed through the doors of a Long Island Wal-Mart Friday morning, witnesses said. The unidentified worker, employed as an overnight stock clerk, tried to hold back the unruly crowds just after the Valley Stream store opened at 5 a.m.”

Now below we see that people are so poor now, that they line up at midnight to check out at Wal-Mart because that is the hour their paycheck, or unemployment check, or food stamps is clicked into their bank accounts. It’s when the money becomes available. Look at the crowd buying baby food and diapers at midnight:

Ponder this: if unemployment offices are arming, what do you think will be the next logical place that riots and armed conflict could break out? If people kill for a laptop on Black Friday, what do you think they will do if they think they can’t get food for their baby? (Peace will be taken from the earth.) If you ever saw a crowd go bonkers at a movie premiere trying to grab the free poster, then you know that getting money, currency, food, or other necessities will likely take a gun to either get or to protect. (Peace will be taken from the earth.) The French have been rioting for weeks at the thought of having the retirement age raised by two years.

Peace will be taken from the earth! But YOU do not have to be on the earth at the time peace will be taken from it. You can appeal to the Savior, and ask Him to forgive your sins. It is your sin that is keeping you from heaven, and from a relationship with your Creator. If you humbly and sincerely ask Him to forgive them and ask Him to help you change, He will send the Holy Spirit to indwell you and make that change from rebellion against God to a productive citizen of His kingdom. It’s your choice.  Peace is a good thing. And ultimately, only Jesus offers it.

Looking to and fro as prophecy pops all over the place

Here is an idea. It formed in my head as I have been watching prophecy the last few weeks. (I’ve been watching prophecy for four years but it’s the last few weeks I’ve noticed something particular…). It’s something that came to mind as I was looking at the different events occurring in the world. But first, the verse and its standard, accepted interpretation:

“But as for you, Daniel, conceal these words and seal up the book until the end of time; many will go back and forth, and knowledge will increase.” (Dan 12:4)

Clarke says “Shut up the words, and seal the book – When a prophet received a prediction concerning what was at a considerable distance of time, he shut his book, did not communicate his revelation for some time after. This Daniel was commanded to do, Daniel 8:26. See also Isaiah 29:10, Isaiah 29:11; Revelation 22:10. Many shall run to and fro – Many shall endeavour to search out the sense; and knowledge shall be increased by these means; though the meaning shall not be fully known till the events take place: Then the seal shall be broken, and the sense become plain.”

Matthew Henry says, “Then this hidden treasure [prophecy that has been sealed] shall be opened, and many shall search into it, and dig for the knowledge of it, as for silver. They shall run to and fro, to enquire out copies of it, shall collate them, and see that they be true and authentic. They shall read it over and over, shall meditate upon it, and run it over in their minds; discurrent-they shall discourse of it, and talk it over among themselves, and compare notes about it, if by any means they may sift out the meaning of it; and thus knowledge shall be increased.”

So, it seems clear that the verse means just what it says, that knowledge will increase. The word ‘knowledge’ is translated from the Greek: had·da·’at– to push forth; (but used only figuratively) to lash, i.e. (the sea with oars) to row; by “implication, to travel — go (about, through, to and fro), mariner, rower, run to and fro.

Now for what I have noticed. It’s simply a visual picture in my head as I see the headlines roll past on a daily basis. There are many events happening in the world, such as financial disasters, natural disasters…constantly, and all over the place from north to south and east to west. For example, while we were looking at the quake swarm in Arkansas, an earthquake off Indonesia happened. While we watched Iceland’s volcano Katla wake up, a volcano erupted in Indonesia. While we expect warring skirmishes to occur in the Middle East, France erupted in riots. While we were watching the locust plague hatch in Australia, a cyclone and tornado hit Chicago.

I picture us who watch prophecy as a tennis audience, with the ball going back and forth, to and fro, and our heads swinging left and right as we try and keep up with the ball. Many heads are going to and fro nowadays, looking here and there at all the things happening! Meanwhile, I picture the events of the world as precursors to the coming judgment, happening more and more frequently and more and more intensely, as birthpangs do. Though Daniel said people would be going to and fro, I believe that is a literal interpretation.

I think time is short, friends. Short. When the Blessed Hope arrives we will all be changed in the blink of an eye…forever to serve with him as co-heirs!

More on Skyline the movie

This morning I re-posted a Rapture Ready essay called The Great Lie, by Carl Worline. In it, the author discussed an upcoming big budget Hollywood movie in which aliens have come to earth, and suck people up into their light. The author had made the supposition that though we do not know what ‘the great lie’ is that Paul describes in the bible, one possible answer for what the great lie may be is the explanation given to people after the rapture, that aliens sucked up people into the light. Here is the verse: “Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all the powers and signs and lying wonders, and with all deceivableness in them that perish; because they receive not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie. That they might be damned who believe not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” (2 Thessalonians 2:9-12)

I don’t know what the great lie is, though more likely the lie is that the antichrist is the Messiah.  However, there will need to be an explanation for the rapture, and the aliens taking us all is as good an explanation as any. We do know without a doubt that satan is working overtime these days to oppress the human population with satanic ideas. This movie is one of those satanic ideas. See if you don’t agree with me after reading the next few sentences:

Since this morning, I have looked at the trailer myself, and note with interest that there are several places where taglines are inserted. A few seconds into the movie, in a scene where a man and woman are awakened at 4:37 am by a weird bright light, he goes to the window to check it out, and he disappears. Another guy comes running in asking what happened. The tearful and petrified woman cries, “he just…disappeared!”

A few seconds later, a tagline of white block print over a black screen says “You haven’t seen the light.”

At the end of the trailer, after many more people from the earth are sucked up into the light, the tagline says, “Don’t look up.”

What the bible says about the Light is the following: “Put your trust in the light while you have it, so that you may become sons of light.” (John 12:36) and “For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” (2 Corinthians 4:6) and of course, Isaiah 9:2, The people walking in darkness have seen a great light;” but this movie tells us ‘we haven’t seen the light’.

The other scriptural parallel to the movie’s taglines is its command, ‘don’t look up.’ It is the exact opposite of the command of what Jesus told us to do, He said to look up. “So when all these things begin to happen, stand and look up, for your salvation is near!” (Luke 21:28)

To sum up: satan’s movie Skyline tells us that being sucked up into the light is horrible, not to look at it, and that we haven’t seen it. That after the mass disappearances the united, the remaining population must make “our last stand”. Got it? No!

Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness,

Will the movie ‘Skyline’ mirror reality? Will the world believe aliens sucked us away from earth?

The Great Lie

On November 12, 2010, Universal Pictures will release a new movie entitled Skyline, which deals with alien spacecraft that suck up the humans who look into the bright blue light these spacecraft project, and then vanish. I believe this movie is more than just the product of the wild imaginations of some clever science fiction writers who seek nothing more than to entertain the public and win an academy award for themselves for best picture (but not in that order). I believe this movie may very well play an important role in end time prophecy.

Whether or not intelligent life exists on other worlds is irrelevant in this article and I will not debate the issue here. What is significant is that reports of unidentified flying objects has been around since the beginning of history with literally millions of people reporting to have seen them, yet official contact with their occupants has (supposedly) never been established. Our government, as well as governments around the world, have vehemently denied the existence of alien spacecraft. In fact, the vehemence in which governments have denied their existence builds a strong case for an official worldwide cover-up conspiracy, which makes the possibility of the existence of extra terrestrial life even more believable.

The Rapture of the Church is certain to cause a worldwide panic as an unbelieving public scrambles to explain the disappearance of hundreds of millions of people in an instant. We also know that the anti-Christ will be revealed and empowered immediately after the Rapture. 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 tells us that the anti-Christ will tell a lie and that God will send a strong delusion so that all of the unbelievers who are left on the Earth after the Rapture will believe this lie:

Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all the powers and signs and lying wonders, and with all deceivableness in them that perish; because they receive not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie. That they might be damned who believe not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

What is this lie? The Bible doesn’t tell us, but I can certainly make an educated guess. On September 21, 1987, President Ronald Reagan made what I consider to be a very prophetic statement when he told the Forty Second Session of the General Assembly of the United Nations “How quickly our differences worldwide would vanish if we were facing an alien threat from outside this world.” I believe this great lie will be that alien beings from another world abducted the millions of people who just vanished.

Chapter 13 of Revelation also tells us that the anti-Christ will tell a lie that will cause the entire world to willingly follow him. I am at a loss to think of any other lie which the anti-Christ could use that would cause the remaining population of the Earth to forget their differences so quickly and unite with him.

On March 16, 1979, a movie about a nuclear accident and related cover-up was released by Columbia Pictures entitled The China Syndrome. That was just 12 days before the Three Mile Island nuclear accident in Pennsylvania. Many dozens of nuclear scientists have since lined up to say that despite the accident at Three Mile Island nuclear power is still safe. Nevertheless, the public has chosen to believe Jane Fonda, Jack Lemmon, and Michael Douglas over the legion of scientists who all have the title “PhD after their name. As a result, the development of nuclear power has all but ceased in the United States as well as many other countries around the world. The power of Hollywood to influence the masses cannot be underestimated and can easily trump the logic and reason of science.

Before I start to sound too condescending I need to confess that many years ago I attended some Star Trek conventions. I know there is no such thing as the Star Ship Enterprise, the Federation of Planets does not exist, and most of the technology that I witnessed on the show was Hollywood illusion and trickery. But still, I saw the characters in real life and even shook hands with some them. For a brief moment the line between reality and fiction seemed to get a bit fuzzy.

The release of a new movie from Hollywood does not, in itself, mean the end of the world is upon us. However, I cannot help but wonder if it is just me, or is there a lot going on in the UFO community all opf a sudden that somehow suspiciously suggests that something big is about to happen. For example:

· Almost 400 years after it imprisoned Galileo under threat of torture for challenging the view that the Earth was the center of the universe, the Vatican announced that the existence of intelligent extra-terrestrial life may be possible.

· The Popes’ astronomer said that he would baptize an alien from another world if it asked him to.

· After many decades of silence a group of retired nuclear officers have recently come forward to announce that alien spacecraft visited military installations and disarmed nuclear warheads on intercontinental ballistic missiles.

· On September 11, 2010 a UFO forced the closure of an airport in Baotau, Mongolia, for approximately 1 hour while other air traffic was diverted to prevent commercial airliners from crashing into it. On July 7, 2010 the Xiaoshan airport in Hangzhou , China, was closed for approximately 1 hour due to a UFO hovering above it. There have been a total of 8 reports of major UFO sightings in China during a 4 month period.

· Astronomers recently announced that they are “100 percent certain” that alien life exists on Earth-like planets.

· Theoretical physicist and cosmologist Stephen Hawking, presumably one of the smartest men on the planet, recently felt compelled to declare to the world that he is almost certain that alien life exists in other parts of the universe and that we should avoid contact with such species because it might be devastating to humanity.

· The United Nations has an Office of Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA). Recent articles in the media both confirm and deny the existence of an ambassador at this office to be the designated representative who makes first contact with intelligent alien life from another planet.

Maybe all of the events which are now occurring are merely a coincidence and my feeling of being bombarded by a preponderance of suggestions about the potential existence of evil alien life as the cause of the impending Rapture of the Church are unfounded. In less than a month the movie Skyline will be released and millions of moviegoers will witness everyday people being snatched up into alien spacecraft in high definition living color on a wide screen with the most realistic surround sound that our technology can produce. Will this sow the seeds of suggestion in the minds of millions of people around the world? I think so. Is the Rapture closer than most people think? I am absolutely convinced of that.

Are you on milk, or meat?

“By now, Christian, you should be eating solid food in your walk with Christ. If you have been saved for a while but still regard the bible as too deep, can’t understand it, and don’t get much out if it, you are at risk. How, you ask?

“Warning Against Falling Away”–

“We have much to say about this, but it is hard to explain because you are slow to learn. In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God’s word all over again. You need milk, not solid food! Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.” (Hebrews 5:11-14)

Because we’re almost to the Days of Noah. In Noah’s day just before the flood, “The Lord saw how great man’s wickedness on the earth had become, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time… Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight and was full of violence. God saw how corrupt the earth had become, for all the people on earth had corrupted their ways. So God said to Noah, “I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them.” (Gen 6:5;11-14)

Notice the definitive words: “every inclination,” not just some of his inclinations. His heart was evil “all the time,” not just some of the time. “All the people” had corrupted their ways, not just some of the people, or even most of the people, but all (the bible notes the one exception, Noah). Everyone was thinking iniquity and doing iniquity all the time. And it was violent.

Add to that the Nephilim were on earth in those days, the mighty men of old. The fallen angels who had come to earth, seen how beautiful the daughters of men were, and took for themselves them as wives, all that they chose. Their offspring were the Nephilim, giants who were offspring of his unholy union. (Gen 6:4). Things were pretty bad on the earth, then. And it is going to be like that again just prior to this next judgment with the fallen angels bursting in on the world after the rapture and even today are edging ever closer. It will be corrupt, evil, violent and ripe for judgment…except, people will not know that judgment is coming-

“As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark;” (Mt 24:37)

“For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect—if that were possible.” (Matthew 24:24)

They will be carrying on in their orgies and their revelries, probably believing that times are bad but they will get better someday. But they won’t get better someday.

Todd Strandberg, founder of Rapture Ready.com said that most of the credible prophecy teachers are in their upper seventies. I know Hal Lindsey is 80. They have been studying prophecy for the better part of their lifetimes, and they know what’s what. All the prophecy teachers I read say that we are in the prelude stage to rapid fulfillment of the prophesied Tribulation Time and very near the rapture. Jack Kelley summed it up thus: “For what it’s worth, I believe the world is experiencing the prelude to the seal judgments right now. They haven’t begun yet but the conditions necessary for them to happen are rapidly being met. It won’t be long until everything’s in place.” Rapture Ready website is twenty-three years old, and Todd’s latest editorial is titled “While there is still time.” Hal Lindsey has been studying prophecy for 50 years, said in his latest video report, “We have some some interesting things to talk to you about tonight. There are some unique things happening in the history of the world…”

To sum up, we are in the prelude to an evil and corrupt time, when abominable demons will be stalking the people of the world, and delusion will be the order of the day. And you are still on milk? The last line in the Hebrews verse I quoted above says: “But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.” Note the phrase, ‘who by constant use’. This means that you have to constantly be in the Word to be trained. Trained for what? To distinguish good from evil. Do you want to stumble around like a wobbly toddler at risk of being deceived? I know I don’t. I don’t drive around on threadbare tires, I don’t cross the street without looking both ways, I don’t eat five-day old fish. Those are simple precautions we take every day. And yet the Lord of the Universe told us that these end days will be the most evil, ever, and gave us a bible to protect ourselves and to be raised up in training, and we act like reading it is the most inconvenient thing we can ever do.

By the numbers: wars, earthquakes on the rise

When I witness about the imminence of the end of the end time, many non-believers say to me that the end time is a crock, that all things are going on the same and will continue to do so. I get that a LOT. They say that there have always been wars. There have always been earthquakes. There have always been natural disasters. That these are unreliable indicators of the end time because they always have occurred and they always will occur.

Jesus said that unbelievers would say that. We’re told “They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our fathers died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.” (2 Peter 3:4)

Other say that people have been saying ‘it is the end time since, like, forever, and that it isn’t happening now and it never will.’ First, just because something happened yet doesn’t mean it never will. Second, the end time is actually the period from Jesus’ ascension to the rapture of the church, then the wrath begins (Rev 6:16) for the purpose of judging and punishing unbelievers (Dan 9:24). The period of which Jesus was speaking will be characterized as like having birth pangs (Mt 24:8). The indicators that we are at the end of the end time will be as what happens in a birth, the intensity and the frequency of the pangs will grow until they not only are noticeable but they almost can’t be endured.

But what do the numbers say? Are earthquakes increasing? Are volcanic eruptions more prevalent now? Are there more wars? The table below is from data from USGS. At that link you can search for earthquakes by date and by magnitude. I searched for global earthquakes between each magnitude, by year. The total is at the top of the page. I then compared this number with the USGS average number of expected earthquakes of any given magnitude. The numbers in red show numbers of eq’s that exceed the USGS’s own standard.

One disclaimer USGS makes downplaying the fact that earthquakes are on the rise, is that there have been more eq’s that they can locate each year, due to better technology. However, I tend to discredit that explanation because the data as presented does not show decade advancement, but year over year. Are there really THAT many more seismographs in place in 2010 than in 2009? I don’t think so…

The graph below is of volcanic eruptions by decade since 1850. The data is from the Smithsonian’s Global Volcanism Program. Note that the last bar, 2010, is as of Oct 23, and at 62 eruptions is almost meeting the previous data set, with a quarter of the year to go.

John MacArthur preached on the end time verses in Luke 21. He cited the Encyclopedia of Wars as a source and offered the following numbers. He said that in the 1000 years prior to Christ’s coming, there were 170 recorded wars. This number excludes skirmishes, conflicts, disturbances, etc. In the 1000 years after Jesus, there were 50 wars. In the 500 years after that, 100 wars. In the 300 years after that, 250 wars. In the last 200 years, there have been 500 wars. And in the last four years (not depicted on graph) there have been 20 wars.

We know from Revelation (13:15-16; 6:5-6) that there will be a global economic restructuring, resulting in deep poverty. I found this data interesting, and sad. Our local newspaper reported on the number of legally required advertisements of foreclosures in their paper over the last five years.

It seems clear to me that the data indicates increases in the things Jesus said would occur. He said in Matthew 24:3-8, “As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains.”

I do not need data to support His predictions. He is the Planner, this is His plan and He will see his plans and His promises and His prophesies come to pass. But for the unsaved’s sake, who demand quantifiable data, I say to them, Jesus declares it will be so. And so it is.

The Satanic Supernatural: a study

Jesus said that the days prior to His coming will be like the Days of Noe (Noah)

“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone. “For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. “For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Man be.” (Matthew 24:36-39)

This passage refers to the Second Coming, not the rapture. In the days immediately prior to the flood, the Nephilim were rampant in the world and had reduced man to a slavering lustful, evil fools who only thought evil continually. (“The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men, and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown. Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually…. But Noah found favor in the eyes of the LORD.” Gen 6:4-5,8). Jesus likened the days prior to the Second Coming to the days of Noah.

We are in evil days even now, though the Tribulation has not begun. Imagine the days getting so much worse! No, thank you. Today, Man is lustful with the eyes and the heart and with his body, thinking only evil continually. That is because, as John wrote, “We know that we are of God, and that the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.” (1 John 5:19)

“…they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools…. Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator….” (Romans 1:18-25) [emphasis mine]

The more things change, the more they stay the same: Hosea said in 10:13- “You have plowed wickedness, you have reaped injustice, You have eaten the fruit of lies Because you have trusted in your way, in your numerous warriors,”. This world trusts in its own way and therefore is at risk of being demonically oppressed. The demons can do nothing in a Christian, except plague Him from afar, but of those who are not saved, demons  run rampant. And most of the world, the world we are told they rule, is not saved. So what do we expect?

As the world hurtles closer to the Time of Jacob’s Trouble and judgment is unleashed on it, the supernatural activity is increasing. If you doubt that demons exist or are so heavily active, see the amount of demonic activity through a list of scriptures from OT to NT, here. The amount of demon-busting the Apostles did in the aftermath of the Spirit’s indwelling of them is amazing, and imagine how much more so the demonic activity was in the Days of Noe. Now imagine how much there is to comeas we again approach days like Noah’s…

There are all kinds of spirits. There is a spirit of fortune telling…”Once when we were going to the place of prayer, we were met by a slave girl who had a spirit by which she predicted the future. She earned a great deal of money for her owners by fortune-telling.” (Acts 16:16)

There are evil spirits: “Now the Spirit of the LORD had departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD tormented him.” (1SA 16:14)

There are enticing spirits: “‘By what means?’ the LORD asked. “‘I will go out and be a lying spirit in the mouths of all his prophets,’ he said. “‘You will succeed in enticing him,’ said the LORD. ‘Go and do it.’ (1 Kings 22:22), and apparently some spirits such as this one can be more than one kind of spirit.

There are lying spirits: “So now the LORD has put a lying spirit in the mouths of all these prophets of yours. The LORD has decreed disaster for you.” (1 Kings 22:23)

There are impure spirits: “On that day, I will banish the names of the idols from the land, and they will be remembered no more,” declares the LORD Almighty. “I will remove both the prophets and the spirit of impurity from the land.” (Zech 13:2)

There are disease spirits: “News about him spread all over Syria, and people brought to him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering severe pain, the demon- possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzed, and he healed them. (Matthew 4:24)

There are spirits that can speak, and who know the things of God and who know God: “What do you want with us, Son of God?” they shouted. “Have you come here to torture us before the appointed time?” (Mt 8:29); “Moreover, demons came out of many people, shouting, “You are the Son of God!” But he rebuked them and would not allow them to speak, because they knew he was the Christ.” (Luke 16:41).

There are demons that cannot speak: “Jesus was driving out a demon that was mute. When the demon left, the man who had been mute spoke, and the crowd was amazed.” (Luke 11:14)

The spirits have a hierarchy, make plans, and have intent: ” Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that man is worse than the first. That is how it will be with this wicked generation.” (Mt 24:45)

There are spirits who posses people in holy places, masquerading as holy worshipers: “Just then a man in their synagogue who was possessed by an evil spirit cried out, “What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are–the Holy One of God!” (Mark 1:23)

There are strong demons: “For he had often been chained hand and foot, but he tore the chains apart and broke the irons on his feet. No one was strong enough to subdue him.” (Mark 5:4)

A body can hold one spirit, or it can hold many spirits: “Then Jesus asked him, “What is your name?” “My name is Legion,” he replied, “for we are many.” (Mark 5:9); “When Jesus rose early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had driven seven demons.” (Mark 16:9)

Finally, demons have intelligence and can teach: “The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.” (1Timothy 4:1)

With all that and more shown to us about the rulers of the air, and the principalities in high places, people who fool with the dark side are taking a grave and likely eternal risk. Demons are smart, capable, powerful, and not only are upon this world already but will invade this world in greater number as in the days of Noah/Time of Jacob’s Trouble nears. And it is my opinion that it has begun:

Rush Limbaugh noticed that recent  photographs of Obama increasingly appear to reveal the demon in him. I agree that Obama’s facial expressions look non-human:

A lot of people will go, ‘aw, that’s just Rush…’ but consider that Mr Limbaugh is this nation’s most successful, longest running, most successful and influential radio commentator. He is an opinion leader from coast to coast. It’s not fringe news when a powerful personality, and in my opinion, a brilliant one at that, who is unafraid to tout unpopular political opinions for the last two decades, comments on the demonic looking facial expressions of  President of the United States.

There were already quite a few reports in the recent days, and it was recently followed up by another reported were UFO were sighted in Kunming which is located in the province of Yunnan.  The recent report was collected from the online version of the People’s Daily. The sightings were made just about a week ago on the 14th of October. The man who photographed the alleged unidentified flying objects is called Dong Rong. Dong Rong himself is a resident of Kunming itself.

These and other news articles from recent times were reported straightforwardly in viable and credible news outlets with all due diligence. They are all of the satanic supernatural.

Be warned! The Days of Noe are almost here, but the time of Jesus, the Ancient of Days from the beginning to the end is more powerful than any demon. He rebukes them with a word. He drives them out while they shriek and shudder. He is Alpha and Omega and under His wings we are saved from the demonic territory that is earth. Praise Him forever.

It’s come to this…Vatican says to Israel, stop using the bible as a basis

I am at a loss to decide whether the Muslim religion represents the false religious system of Revelation, or Roman Catholicism as expressed by the Vatican. I am not at a loss as to how or why the Vatican has gotten to the state of disbelieving the bible. Satan. Time will tell as to who or what amalgam of religious ideas or organizations form the basis for the False Prophet’s launch (Revelation 13:11-15; 16:13 and 19:20), but meanwhile, this just out in Israel’s Yedioth News simply astounds me:

Vatican body asks UN to ‘end Israeli occupation’
“Israel cannot use the Biblical concept of a promised land or a chosen people to justify new “settlements” in Jerusalem or territorial claims, a Vatican synod on the Middle East said on Saturday. … “We have meditated on the situation of the holy city of Jerusalem. We are anxious about the unilateral initiatives that threaten its composition and risk to change its demographic balance,” the message said. Recourse to theological and biblical positions which use the Word of God to wrongly justify injustices is not acceptable,” the document said.” [emphasis mine] Worse, they state: “We Christians cannot speak about the promised land for the Jewish people. There is no longer a chosen people. All men and women of all countries have become the chosen people.”

The document is an endorsement of the so-called “Two-State solution“, dividing Israel to carve out a Palestinian State in attempts to appease the Arabs. “The Holy City of Jerusalem will be able to acquire its proper status, which respects its particular character, its holiness and the religious patrimony of the three religions: Jewish, Christian and Muslim. We hope that the two-state-solution might become a reality and not a dream only.”

It cannot be said that the Vatican is even nominally Christian anymore. The Holy Bible tells us that apostasy shall abound in the latter days.

2 Thessalonians 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

Obama basks in Taj Mahal luxury while his servants (us) support him

Anyone else think this is excessive? The Economic Times of India reports:

“Since Obama is expected to arrive in the afternoon on November 6, and will travel by road to the Taj Mahal Hotel, the entire stretch from airport to the hotel will be under heavy security. The officer said, “There will be no vehicular movement on Western Express Highway at that time. Traffic on roads leading up to the highway will also be stopped. All buildings flanking the entire stretch will be sanitised. However, there is no threat from the snipers as the President will travel in a bullet-proof car with 4.5-inch thick sheets, which are impenetrable for any gun.” Obama’s personal security staff itself will be huge, and it has already started making its own arrangements in Mumbai. “A team of secret service agents has already arrived, and has surveyed the areas of his stay and the roads and places on his itinerary,” the officer said.”

“To ensure fool-proof security, the President’s team has booked the entire the Taj Mahal Hotel, including 570 rooms, all banquets and restaurants. Since his security contingent and staff will comprise a huge number, 125 rooms at Taj President have also been booked, apart from 80 to 90 rooms each in Grand Hyatt and The Oberoi hotels. The NCPA, where the President is expected to meet representatives from the business community, has also been entirely booked. The officer said, “Obama’s contingent is huge. TWO jumbo jets in addition to AF1? Plus security jets? Over 600 people traveling with him? Did we elect a king? I think Obama thinks so. It is an axiom: profligate spending always collapses an empire. The one-minute video tells it all.

The gap between what leaders say and what they do is becoming wider and more bold. Obama pushes austerity measures and belt-tightening, yet goes on more jaunts spending to greater excess than any other president, ever. The verses describing the false economic system as represented by the real city Babylon (and also the metaphor of Babylon as a whorish economy) in Rev 18:1-3 come to mind here —

“After this I saw another angel coming down from heaven. He had great authority, and the earth was illuminated by his splendor. With a mighty voice he shouted:

“Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great!
She has become a home for demons
and a haunt for every evil spirit,
a haunt for every unclean and detestable bird.
For all the nations have drunk
the maddening wine of her adulteries.
The kings of the earth committed adultery with her,
and the merchants of the earth grew rich from her excessive luxuries.” 
The gap between rich and poor, caring and uncaring,  luxury and starvation will only widen in the days and months ahead.

It is very hard to watch the wicked prosper. It is a hard thing to listen to the profane hurl blasphemies against our Spotless Jesus and then see them rise to even higher heights. But Job discoursed against the prosperity of the wicked, that ultimately God settles with them via secret judgments and has reserved them for future judgments. Patience…the blasphemous and the profane will fall. Remember this as you see Obama’s excesses. He will face the Almighty one day, and nothing we can say or do will compete with the just words from the Ancient of Days. As our own ire rises in anger against wickedness in all places, remember to sink even lower into His arms, retreating from bitterness and relying only on Him and His perfect justice.

I just have to rely ever more on His strength and promises to step back, & remain calm as I see His name trampled further through the mud and the wicked prospering and the poor falling. He is in control and nothing I can say or do will come close to the wicked having to face Him on judgment day. Lord, help my resentment against political abuse and lack of compassion on the burdened poor!! 🙂

What comes after life?

“As a pastor, I’m often called upon when life “vanishes like a mist.” One of the most powerful examples I’ve seen of this was Stan Gerlach, a successful businessman who was well known in the community. Stan was giving a eulogy at a memorial service when he decided to share the gospel. At the end of his message, Stan told the mourners, “You never know when God is going to take your life. At that moment, there’s nothing you can do about it. Are you ready?” Then Stan sat down, fell over, and died. His wife and sons tried to resuscitate him, but there was nothing they could do – just as Stan had said a few minutes earlier.”

“Therefore everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father who is in heaven. “But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 10:32-33

“[During Stan’s memorial service] I asked everyone to imagine what it must have felt like for Stan. One moment, he was at a memorial service saying to the crowd, “This is who Jesus is!” The next, he was before God hearing Jesus say, “This is who Stan Gerlach is!” One second he was confessing Jesus; a second later, Jesus was confessing him! It happens that quickly. And it could happen to any of us. In the words of Stan Gerlach, “Are you ready?” (pg. 46-47 of Crazy Love by Francis Chan)

I read that today on my lunch break. Just that bit. I stopped dead in my tracks when I read it, turning the book over on the table and staring vacantly off into space. It moved me deeply to think of Stan’s glorious death. To have the last words on your lips be a witness for Jesus and of Jesus. And then I began to ponder the flimsiness of life. We are truly fragile. Though we’re built sturdily, there are a million ways to die and death could come at any time. The title of Chan’s chapter is even “You might not finish this chapter.”

Before I was saved, I used to wonder about the hereafter. It is a natural question, ‘is there more?’ What comes next? Do we really putrefy into dust? But what’s with that white light everyone always talks about? There is a new movie coming out by Clint Eastwood, directing. It’s called “Hereafter” and it supposedly delves into these questions. The film depicts three strangers, all curiously connected with tantalizing glimpses of an afterlife, and whose stories intertwine by the end. The film doesn’t reach any conclusions (which is why it is being universally praised) but it does reportedly leave people curiously uneasy about what comes next.

The New York Times reviewed the movie, its reviewer saying “though if anyone could make me believe in ghosts, it would be Clint Eastwood. And the afterlife itself remains, throughout the film, a vague, conjectural place, a zone of speculation rather than a freshly discovered and surveyed continent. The fuzzy digital ghosts that occasionally flutter across the screen are more symbolic placeholders than literal apparitions. Something seems to be out there, and cinematic technology provides an available shorthand to indicate its presence.”

How convenient. A Clint Eastwood movie answers the eternal questions. The bible IS the shorthand to the eternal, providing all the answers about the hereafter, and raises the questions you didn’t even know you had. Now, the Hereafter movie does discuss the white light, which is a phenomenon that many people of all different cultures seemed to have experienced. We all assume that the white light is God or is of God and most people describe feeling an additional feeling of peace and joy. The Hereafter movie does that too. This is, of course, false, because any person who is not a forgiven sinner and a follower of Jesus will not be in His Light after death. Yet so many people are consistent with their descriptions of what happens after…I found that another movie did provide me with a satisfying and logical explanation as to why so many people seem to return from near death experiences having seen this white light.

The movie was called “Escape from Hell”. In it, a Doctor wanted to KNOW for sure what came after death, so he injected himself with a drug cocktail and after calling his colleague, told his colleague he would only have 10 minutes to be revived. After he succumbed to death and before he was revived by his colleague, he experienced the white light. He was in a tunnel and sliding down what felt to him to be an eternal destiny of peace and joy. However, the white light shortly faded and the tunnel soon forked, and he began sliding inexorably toward hell.

Of course, this was only a fictional depiction, and the white light experience could easily simply be a delusion sent by satan. But I thought it made a kind of sense. God created everything, and it makes sense that His light would be present in the transition from corporeal to spirit. The movie was effective at examining the eternal question, what comes after? And being a Christian movie, it resolved those questions biblically. For Stan Gerlach, he knew what came after, because he was born again. Even as the words he’d spoken last were still hanging in the air, he was instantly in the presence of the Lord.

Your death or the death of a family member or friend could come at any time. At the moment we breathe our last, it is too late. Many people are fence-sitters, saying ‘I’ll wait until I approach death and then I’ll decide.” First, many people do not get that chance to see death changing lanes ahead and coming toward you. Often death comes suddenly and unexpectedly, like it did for Stan Gerlach. Secondly, do you know what you need to decide?

Your sins keep you from entering heaven. God hates sin. (“The boastful shall not stand before Your eyes, You hate all who do iniquity.” Psalm 5:5) You need to accept that Jesus was the sinless Christ who died as the atoning sacrifice for your sins and who rose again. You sin. I sin. Every human sins, and those sins (wrongs) are an abomintion to God. His Holy Hereafter does not contain sin and if you contain sin you will not go there.

Clint Eastwood’s Hereafter contains unforgiven sinners talking with the dead to reassure us that the white light is peaceful and all who die will enjoy it. That is a lie straight from satan.

Back to Stan Gerlach. He was ready. Are you ready? What will your hereafter contain?
