How Obama is conditioning the world for the upcoming antichrist

Two days ago I wrote about how the ever-working Jesus has brought the economy, religion, and the moral heart of society so close to the point of being ready for the final fulfillments of the prophesied Tribulation period conditions. Like an iceberg, we don’t see is the bulk of the structure, but we see only the tip. However, the tip has grown to and through the surface that even secular people are noticing that things are not only not quite right, but very, very wrong. Polls show that more people believe we are headed in the wrong direction. That our world governments are not up to the task of solving today’s problems. The wealth gap is obscenely wide. And more.

All these things are evident to the discerning Christian’s eye. Something else that was immediately evident is that there is something of the prophetic in Obama.

When he burst upon the scene in 2007, it was immediately apparent that Obama was unlike any other politician the modern world has seen, except maybe Hitler. He was so strange and his aura of charm and likability so strong that people openly asked if he was the antichrist. Many Christians’ spiritually negative views of Obama were realized when he began operating in the White House. His policies, his statements, and attitude toward law, order, and right living confirmed that their initial spiritual uneasiness about him indeed had a basis. They are examples of what is yet to come. But they are also preparing the way for what is to come by conditioning people to give up their rights for the so-called greater good.

Though Obama probably is not the antichrist, I and many others believe that he is a kind of forerunner. A Pastor friend of mine stated it succinctly last night:

“Did you see Bill O’Reilly’s brief interview with Robert Jeffress earlier this week? Pastor Jeffress concisely stated his belief regarding President Obama’s influence on the future. While Jeffress’ book was written to those who are curious about what is going to happen in the future, his comments [two paragraphs] about President Obama’s unwitting role of preparing the mindset of Americans for a future world dictator has drawn a lot of attention.”

The only remark I would make about my wise pastor friend’s comment is that it’s my opinion that Obama’s role in the satanic set-up for coming Tribulation conditions is not unwitting.

He was referring to an interview on Fox, where Jeffress said,

“There’s going to be a future world dictator, before Christ returns, who’s going to usurp people’s personal …rights. …He’s going to wage war against God’s people, he’s gonna change God’s laws and he’s going to do it without any opposition. And my question was, how’s he going to be able to pull that off? And my thesis is, people will have been conditioned long before the Antichrist comes to accept governmental overreach. And that’s what you’re seeing with President Obama right now.

Here is a lengthier interview than the brief one on Fox News, excerpted from the Christian Post (CP):

“Pastor Robert Jeffress, senior pastor of the 11,000-member First Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas, has released a new book, Perfect Ending: Why Your Eternal Future Matters Today, that cuts through the misconceptions about end times prophecy and God’s judgment, and answers questions about heaven. It also answers why Christians should be actively sharing the Gospel with nonbelievers.

CP: In your book, you mention that President Barack Obama’s policies and political agenda is paving the way for a future world dictator. Can you provide a couple examples of those policies?

Jeffress: Those are probably the two paragraphs in the book that have garnered the most national attention. I want to be very clear, I am not claiming that President Obama is the Antichrist. In fact, I’m absolutely certain he is not the Antichrist. The reason I can say that is the Bible indicates the Antichrist will have higher poll numbers. But I do believe that the president is paving the way for a future world dictator.

The Bible says the seven years of history before the coming of Christ will be characterized by this world dictator that we commonly call the Antichrist. He will usurp people’s basic freedoms, such as speech, worship and commerce. He will launch an attack against God’s people. And he will seek to change God’s moral law, according to Daniel 7:25. And he will be able to accomplish all of these things with little to no opposition – at least at the beginning.

Jeffress then gave examples of several foundational policies Obama has instituted that directly pave the way for the future world dictator, and Jeffress concluded with this:

“This is what I’m saying: The president is both illustrative of, but he’s also preparing the way for the coming world dictator. Now, let me be very clear and say that I do not believe that President Obama kneels before an altar of Satan in the Oval Office every day – I’m not saying that at all. But I am saying that what he is doing now is preparing the way for this future dictator.“

Obama’s success is not contained in this policy or that law. It is not the minutiae of Obamacare or even his ~~lies~~ misstatements. It is that he got a majority of the United States citizenry to capitulate their hearts and minds to an obviously evil government entity, and in so doing, set the example to the world on how to do it. He claimed the minds of people, and manipulated them far down the path that satan wants them to go.

Please read the interview linked above. Pastor Jeffress was equally adamant that we as Christians have the unique perspective of being able to see the future, and so should share the Gospel with verve and haste. Time is running out.

Bitcoins and quantum computing

Back in April of this year, I wrote about a quirky new virtual currency called bitcoin. At that time, it was just three years old and amazingly, valued at 1 BN. Forbes magazine at that time called it a “disruptive technology.” They state their opinion in a well-written, understandable piece of logic:

“A financial network is a technological platform that people build businesses on top of. And the traditional banking and credit card networks are closed platforms. If you want to build an e-commerce site, a payment network like Paypal, or any other service that deals in dollars, you need to convince incumbent financial institutions to do business with you. Getting such a partnership is difficult and involves a lot of red tape.

There’s a good reason for the high barrier to entry: electronic transactions in the conventional banking system are generally reversible. If someone makes a fraudulent charge to your credit card, you can dispute the transaction and in most cases the bank or the merchant, not the customer, will cover the cost. That’s convenient for consumers, but it requires the financial system to be a fairly close-knit web of trust. Allowing a new member into the club creates risks for everyone else. So the incumbents are understandably reluctant to deal with anyone who isn’t well-known and well-capitalized.

Bitcoin is different. Because transactions are authenticated cryptographically and cannot be reversed, there’s no need to restrict access to the network. There’s no risk to accepting payments from complete strangers. That means people don’t need anyone’s permission or trust to go into business as a Bitcoin-based merchant or financial intermediary.”

So how is bitcoin doing three and a half years after debut, and 7 months after it poked through the ceiling of global consciousness? Pretty durn good. The Verge has a piece on bitcoin from last night.

Bitcoin hits $700 during surprisingly friendly Senate hearing on the virtual currency
“Bitcoin, the decentralized virtual currency that approximates cash on the internet, had a big day today. The four-year-old currency had its first hearing in Congress as experts from the government, the Bitcoin community, and the nonprofit sector appeared to discuss the implications of the growing popularity of virtual currencies. And while that testimony took place, a single Bitcoin soared to $700 on the market at the tail of a two-week climb.”

“Virtual currencies, perhaps most notably Bitcoin, have captured the imagination of some, struck fear among others, and confused the heck out of many of us,” Sen. Tom Carper (D-DE), chairman of the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, told a packed room.”

“The hearing was the culmination of a three-month investigation into Bitcoin and other virtual currencies, he said. The proceeding was made up of two panels. The first featured Jennifer Shasky Calvery, the director of the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network; Mythili Raman, an attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice; and Secret Service agent Edward W. Lowery III.”

The above article concluded ended with this “While the hearing was frontloaded with discussion of the potential for virtual currencies to be used for crime, there was no sense of alarm about the strange new world of Bitcoin. “

So far from being disruptively and wild N woolly, the bitcoin is settling into its place in commerce and in governmental mindsets. It is traded on the exchange, and is gaining investors, according to TechCrunch. The Chinese bitcoin exchange “pile onto bitcoin” and is gaining momentum. Bloomberg goes so far as to say it is gaining credibility. Bloomberg reminds us that “Bitcoins … exist as software and aren’t regulated by any country or banking authority,” and this is a remarkable statement because the currency didn’t even exist three years ago.

It is prophesied that the false prophet will force all to accept a mark of worship that will not only ally the recipients with satan via the antichrist but allow the recipients to buy or sell, (Revelation 13:16-17). People who refuse the mark will not be allowed to buy or sell. This is an intriguing prophecy. For millennia, it has been impossible for commenters, theologians and interpreters of the bible to understand how one man could control all of the world’s commerce by regulating its currency and to know instantly at point of sale who is allowed to buy or sell- and who is not. They believed it, they just couldn’t envision it.

However, since technological times in this generation, people have accepted that somehow the world economy will be remade to the point where one currency will circulate, but before the internet was invented the best they could envision was that it’d have something to do with barcodes.

The barcode was invented in 1952 but it wasn’t used commercially until 1974. That is not so long ago. I was in high school. Since then, technology has made envisioning some of the previously more difficult and obscure prophecies not only clear but almost realized in our lifetime. Whether bitcoin will be THE currency used to fulfill the prophecy, or another one will be, it is increasingly clear that since this generation was born there have been astounding technological advances that not only laid the groundwork for the prophecy to be fulfilled but the details of it to be envisioned with clarity and precision.

Think about it- prior to 1974, no barcodes were in use in commercial economy. Since then we’ve had the advent of the internet, a global economy, and new currencies. One may buy and sell virtual items without ever touching money. A kindle book is one example. eCommerce is de rigueur.

Parallel to the bitcoin’s rise is the necessity for supercomputers to handle the world’s increasingly virtual commerce. And just yesterday, a quantum computing record was set. If there is to be a new currency and if it is to be virtual-based, the world will need faster computers to maintain these commerce and banking records. Enter quantum computing. Instead of using silicon based transistors, a quantum computer “will harness the power of atoms and molecules to perform memory and processing tasks.”

“Notoriously hard to manipulate and even more difficult to maintain Quantum memory states are often best controlled at absolute zero, however this new record has shattered previous estimations by being carried out at room temperature.” (source)

And the record that was “shattered” was that the quantum computer was maintained at room temp for 42 minutes. That’s a huge leap. A quantum leap. Sorry. Couldn’t resist.

With our old global economy on the brink, fiat money increasingly diluted, and new currencies popping up, combined with the convergence of all other prophecies such as the rapid decline of society, rise of apostasy, and Christianity’s great shrinking, it seems to me that we could actually see the Messiah in our lifetimes- if not sooner.

Pope Francis to consecrate the world to Immaculate Heart of Mary

More Pope Francis news. This man’s rapid departure from age-old Catholic dogma is bringing the world closer to ecumenism in a faster fashion than any other man or philosophy I’ve ever seen. Amazingly bad news just keeps coming from the Vatican

Pope Francis will consecrate the world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on October 13. The consecration will take place as part of a pilgrimage that will bring thousands of members of groups promoting Marian piety to the Vatican.

The statue of Our Lady of Fatima is scheduled to travel to Rome on October 12. It will be only the 11th time since the statue was made in 1920 that it has been removed from the Portuguese Marian shrine.

Pope Francis and the pilgrims will welcome the statue to St Peter’s Square during an evening prayer service on October 12. The statue will then be taken to the Rome Shrine of Divine Love, where the Diocese of Rome plans an all-night vigil.

The statue and the pilgrims will return to St Peter’s Square on October 13 for the recitation of the rosary and Mass with Pope Francis. In a press statement, the directors of the Fatima shrine said Pope Francis will consecrate the world to Mary during the event. (source)

First, this is idolatry in every sense of the word. He is lifting up a man-made statue as an object of worship and as a ‘special sign.’ Secondly, this destroys any straight-face notion that the Catholics do not worship Mary (something they deny by parsing the word ‘venerate’, as in “We don’t worship her, we venerate her”.) The Mary here is of course the mother of Jesus who incubated the Savior in her womb, birthed the sinless Son, and raised him with Joseph until Jesus became of age.

But third, the hubris contained in Francis’s seemingly humble action betrays the man’s pride. Or perhaps his realism- the pope is the only absolute monarch in the world, accountable to no one for as long as he holds the office. Francis’ action is intended to ‘consecrate the world’. According to the Christian Apologetics and Research Ministry, Consecrate means

“To consecrate something is to formally set it apart for special use. Bread was consecrated in the Old Testament (Exodus 25:30; Lev. 25:5-9) as were people (Rom. 1:1; Gal.1:15).”

For the Pope to believe he has the power to set the WORLD apart for any use that he chooses is hubris on the order of the pride that satan himself has, believing he will exalt himself above God’s holy mountain. (Isaiah 14:4).

This is not the first time Pope Francis has been in the news. You remember he became Pope under extremely unusual circumstances. The previous Pope, Benedict, suddenly and abruptly resigned, the first pope to do so in 600 years. This opened the papal monarchy to another candidate. That man was Francis. The resignation event occurred in February of this year. The papacy of Francis began in mid-March of this year, 2013.

The second unusual thing about Francis is that though he has been pope only for 7 short months, he has upended and subverted the entrenched Catholic dogma up on its ear. He has made the news almost constantly since ascending his papacy by uttering liberal policies and teaching what has for thousands of years been anathema to Catholics. For example:

This is all extraordinary given that if nothing else, the Vatican has always adhered to their false religion and dogma fiercely. It is also unusual in that the Vatican never takes rapid steps or makes abrupt turns. Yet Francis has only been in office for 7 months and seemingly not a monthy gos by without reading of an amazing about-face from the Vatican.

The Vatican is the oldest “international legal personality” in the world, AKA the oldest formed and longest lasting government in the world, established in 480AD.

Take note of the rapidity of the changes Francis is bringing. And always remember that the Catholic religion is a false religion, therefore we are not surprised when the world acts like the world.

Pope Francis’s sudden appearance onto the world stage, his wide promotion as a faithful, humble man, and how clearly he speaks the world’s language is all extremely interesting as it is happening at this juncture in time.

I turn from pope-watching and look instead for my Savior. Is He due at the appointed hour soon to collect His bride? As the world falls further into ecumenism, faithlessness and Christ-less despair, does this mean the soon appearance of our beloved Groom? One hopes so. Even so,

“But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, (Philippians 3:20)

And we wait, patiently enduring, watching the extraordinary events on earth, knowing a better future awaits those who love him.

Pope says there is no need to convert anyone

And here I am. The Pope comes in and shakes my hand, and we sit down. The Pope smiles and says: “Some of my colleagues who know you told me that you will try to convert me.”

It’s a joke, I tell him. My friends think it is you want to convert me.
He smiles again and replies: “Proselytism is solemn nonsense, it makes no sense. We need to get to know each other, listen to each other and improve our knowledge of the world around us. Sometimes after a meeting I want to arrange another one because new ideas are born and I discover new needs. This is important: to get to know people, listen, expand the circle of ideas. The world is crisscrossed by roads that come closer together and move apart, but the important thing is that they lead towards the Good.”

Your Holiness, is there is a single vision of the Good? And who decides what it is?
“Each of us has a vision of good and of evil. We have to encourage people to move towards what they think is Good.”

Your Holiness, you wrote that in your letter to me. The conscience is autonomous, you said, and everyone must obey his conscience. I think that’s one of the most courageous steps taken by a Pope.
“And I repeat it here. Everyone has his own idea of good and evil and must choose to follow the good and fight evil as he conceives them. That would be enough to make the world a better place.”

Is the Church doing that?
“Yes, that is the purpose of our mission: to identify the material and immaterial needs of the people and try to meet them as we can. Do you know what agape is?”

Yes, I know.
“It is love of others, as our Lord preached. It is not proselytizing, it is love. Love for one’s neighbor, that leavening that serves the common good.”

Love your neighbor as yourself.
“Exactly so.”

Jesus in his preaching said that agape, love for others, is the only way to love God. Correct me if I’m wrong.
“You’re not wrong. The Son of God became incarnate in the souls of men to instill the feeling of brotherhood. All are brothers and all children of God. Abba, as he called the Father. I will show you the way, he said. Follow me and you will find the Father and you will all be his children and he will take delight in you. Agape, the love of each one of us for the other, from the closest to the furthest, is in fact the only way that Jesus has given us to find the way of salvation and of the Beatitudes.”

Iran’s Khamenei hints that the Presidency may be dismantled

The News first then the prophetic implication.

In April of 2011 I had posted several articles noting the growing and obvious rift between the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Khamenei, and his handpicked and supposedly elected President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. There was a spate of articles and a heightened speculation, then…nothing. War tensions took over and news chat of Ahmadinejad’s position took back burner. Now this incredible news today. First, look at the three peices of news from last April/May-

Apr 28, 2011: There’s a rift between Iran’s President Ahmadinejad …
“A rift is emerging between Iran’s president and its supreme leader, prompting several members of the parliament to call for the impeachment of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who has not been seen in public for days.”

Apr 29, 2011: Ahmadinejad may resign
“In an interesting story yesterday, it seems that Iran’s President Ahmadinejad has displeased the clerics (who really rule the nation) and especially has displeased Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei…”

May 6, 2011: “Are Ahmadinejad’s days numbered?“
“An Examiner article states that Arab TV has reported that the Iran’s Supreme Leader Khamenei has asked President hmadinejad of Iran to step down. If true, it indicates a tightening of the strife that has burst onto the surface.”

Iran’s Parliamentary elections are coming up. This parliamentary election will be held in Iran on 2 March 2012 to elect new members of Islamic Consultative Assembly, Majlis. The Presidential election is not until next year. “The [parliamentary] election is expected to be a contest between “supporters and opponents of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad within the conservative camp,” says the AP. So there was already a rift, but the election is the mechanism that will expose it to the light. And any tensions that have been successfully hidden from the world since last April, will be all the harder to suppress as the elections near.

Then this today.

“Supreme leader Ayatollah Khamenei has hinted the office of the presidency may be dismantled“.

In this Al Jazeera opinion piece analyzing the current internal factionism in advance of the elections, it is stated,

“Soon after the presidential election of June 2009 – when Khamenei had to side with Ahmadinejad – the widely contested president was under the illusion that he enjoyed grassroots support. As a result of that deadly miscalculation, he and his faction now face two problems: not having his allies qualified for the next parliamentary election, and being impeached by the newly formed parliament for a barrage of corruption charges against him, his aides, and his cabinet. Ahmadinejad was always dispensable for Khamenei – but he seems to have had misread the Supreme Leader’s intentions, who has even recently suggested that the office of presidency might very well be altogether dismantled to guarantee his absolutist Sultanism without even a hint of democratic menace.”

Sultanism is “another name for Despotism, is a form of authoritarian government characterized by the extreme personal presence of the ruler in all elements of governance. … The term Sultanism is derived from the word Sultan, which is a title used in Muslim societies for a sovereign or absolute monarch.” (source)

This isn’t the first time the Ayatollah has said that he may get rid of the office of President. He said it 4 months ago in this article in the Washington Post- “An unusual proposal by Iran’s supreme leader to eliminate the position of president has highlighted an increasingly bitter struggle within the country’s political elite, as the leader and his allies continue to try to undercut the powers of Iran’s ambitious president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said “changing Iran into a parliamentary system” in which voters no longer elected a president would not be a problem.” Read more here.

Now the prophetic implication. The Tribulation is a time for Kings. It is all about kings. There will not be freedom, there will not be liberty, there will not be democracy. Geo-political changes occur so rapidly that individual national sovereignty is quickly done away with. the world forms into ten kingships. Daniel 7:24- “The ten horns are ten kings who will come from this kingdom. After them another king will arise, different from the earlier ones; he will subdue three kings.”

Revelation 17:12 – “Revelation 17:12 “The ten horns you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but who for one hour will receive authority as kings along with the beast.”

Daniel 11:40 “At the time of the end the king of the South will engage him in battle, and the king of the North will storm out against him with chariots and cavalry and a great fleet of ships. He will invade many countries and sweep through them like a flood.”

Revelation 16:12, “The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up to prepare the way for the kings from the East.”

The final days of the Church Age will see, and we are seeing now, a shifting of power. Not just in one president here or there but grand, sweeping changes, and changes not just of who governs, but how they govern, too. And not for the better. Changes where kings and presidents and ayatollahs and prime ministers and dictators are swept from power at a heartbeat. How many top leaders have been killed or have resigned int he last year? Power coalesces, and even nominal democracy is done away with. Think of all the dictators and leaders swept away in the Arab Spring, to be replaced with an Army or a Muslim Brotherhood, or a Terrorist faction. None of the new leaders have been better than the last, that is for sure.

It has to be so, because by Revelation 13 the Antichrist has gained enough power to force all people, great and small, to receive a mark on their hand or their forehead in order to worship the beast, or they may not buy nor sell. That is the word in Revelation 13:16- “forced” “everyone.” Only dictators can do that. As we near the Tribulation the world gets ready to form into ten kingships, then seven, then one.

That’s why it is prophetically significant that the Ayatollah has hinted he may get rid of the office of the President. By the time of the end, there will only be dictators. aAd then the final dictator, antichrist. It is all narrowing down.

Rush says Obama may be Caliphate building

On September 4, 2010, 6 months ago, I posted a piece exploring Obama as Caliph. Seemingly out of the blue, a Pakistani Ayatollah had made a curious call for Obama to be named as Islam’s Caliph. As a side note, isn’t it amazing that now just 6 months later, we are all now very familiar with terms such as Caliph, Shia, Imam and Mullah?

I post this 6-month-old piece again because today Rush Limbaugh made a curious statement. Limbaugh said “Out of the clear it would seem that Obama is into Caliphate-building. It is almost as though Obama might believe he is the Twelfth Imam.” The clip is short and though it goes on for a few more seconds I don’t have a context as to why Rush would say this. But if you read the article below, you will see undeniably that it is not “out of the clear”, that the Muslims have long regarded Obama as a brother. Obama himself has demonstrated this by his actions. He went to a place specifically to hear a Pro-Palestinian message. The Muslims recognize Obama as a brother, as we see below. Obama gave a speech at Georgetown on condition that the crucifix behind him be blacked out or removed. A myriad of clues big and little tell us that Obama is an enemy of the US and an enemy of God.

Please read the post below in light of even more information that has come out. This week it was revealed that the Clerics and Ayatollahs of Iran have produced a video in preparing their people for the arrival of the 12th Imam, the Final Mahdi, in celebration because his near arrival is imminent, they say. They are convinced he is near, just as convinced as we are that the antichrist is near (I believe the 12th Imam IS the antichrist). And you will not forget who works with the antichrist: the False Prophet. Ayatollah Durrani’s call for Obama to be Caliph has enormous end time implications in Christianity AND Islam

Yesterday I published a piece that was pretty curious. Out of the blue, an Ayatollah from Pakistan called for Barack Hussein Obama, our President, to be installed as Caliph, leader of Muslims. Further, he called for Obama to lead Muslim Eid holiday prayers from Ground Zero on Sept. 11. The Ayatollah had called the Pakistani newspaper “The Nation” and made this claim, and it was published in both their print version and online. I thought the call for Obama to become caliph was odd, and anything odd these days bears intense research, because as we draw so close to the end, nothing is to be taken for granted. Thus, I began really looking at the language in the Pakistani news article. This is what I found, thanks to the Holy Spirit’s guidance in research.

Minister wants Obama to become Ameer-ul-Momineen
ISLAMABAD – In a development that could be duly termed as one and only of its kind, an incumbent Government’s Minister has urged US President Barrack Obama to offer Eid prayers at Ground Zero Mosque and become “Ameer-ul-Momineen” of Muslim Ummah [the collective Muslim world]. Minister of State for Industries and former member Pakistan Ideological Council Ayatullah Durrani called TheNation on Wednesday to register his demand made to President Obama. “The coming Eid would expectedly be observed on 9/11, this a golden opportunity for President Obama to offer Eid prayers at Ground Zero and become Amir-ul-Momineen or Caliph of Muslims. In this way, all the problems of Muslim World would be solved,” he thought. Durrani argued that Muslim World was in “dire need” of a Caliph and the distinguished slot of Caliphate would earn President Obama the exemplary titles of what he termed, “Mullah Barrack Hussain Obama” or “Allama Obama.” “The time is approaching fast. Barrack Hussain Obama must act now. This is a golden opportunity, Muslims badly need it,” he added, saying that the elevation of President Obama to Muslim’s Caliphate would be the “key to success.” This news was published in print paper.

The term caliph came into use as a title of the civil and religious head of the Muslim state. But because the Muslim state is so fractured, having one head as Caliph became untenable and fell out of use by 1924.

Let’s take a close look at two of the sentences. First, Durrani said: “all the problems of Muslim World would be solved.”

I can’t speak for the Pakistani Ayatollah on exactly how this may solve the Muslim world’s problems, but I do know that the Muslim world is not a united world. Sunni and Shia diverge greatly, and once the office of Caliph was abandoned in 1924, the division became seemingly permanent. “Disagreement over the status and legitimate line of caliphs lies at the root of the division between Shiite and Sunni Muslims. The caliphate has throughout history been an important symbolic focus of unity for Muslims, and since its abolition several pan-Islamic congresses have attempted to establish a rightful caliph. (Cambridge Encyclopedia).

Instituting the office of Caliph with an acceptable candidate would indeed go a long way to solving the Muslim world’s problems.

In Shia end time doctrines, the final Mahdi (12th Mahdi, and they have already had 11) will be a world leader, emerging out of the chaos and violence to institute a one world religion and economic system. The world will worship this Mahdi, (Muslim Messiah)in advance of the coming of Jesus prior to Jesus instituting HIS kingdom. Sound familiar? The final Mahdi is central to their doctrines, CENTRAL. The entire focus of much of Islam (with exception of certain Sunni sects) focuses on this final Imam.

With that in mind, on the Jihadica blog, a conversation took place in 2008 that bears on today’s conversation about Obama as Caliph. The title of the entry is “Mahdi Will Appear After Return and Death of Caliph” and the excerpt is “Discussion of the appearance of the Mahdi, a messianic figure who will appear to restore justice to the world, is not a hot topic on Sunni Jihadi forums (in contrast with Shia miliants, who talk about it a lot). So a post today on Eklaas by al-Fata al-Jurani caught my eye. In it, he argues that the Mahdi will not appear until a caliph once again rules Muslims. After the caliph dies, the black banners will be unfurled and the Mahdi will appear. So if the caliphate were to be declared and acknowledged, would hitherto non-messianic Jihadi groups like al-Qaeda become messianic?”

Are you starting to get the import of this little-reported, curious call for Obama to be a Caliph?

In a second curious sentence from the article, I thought that the Ayatollah’s specificity in delivering the titles for Obama in this yet-to-be-named Caliphate were odd. But they are not odd, in fact, these titles have great meaning for Muslims.

From the article: “Durrani, a former member of the Pakistan Ideological Council, contended that the Muslim world is in “dire need” of a Caliph and occupying this distinguished slot would provide Obama “exemplary titles” like “Mullah Barack Hussain Obama” or “Allama Obama”.

Mullah is generally used to refer to a Muslim man, educated in Islamic theology and sacred law. The title, given to some Islamic clergy, is derived from the Arabic word mawlà , meaning “vicar”, “master” and “guardian”. In large parts of the Muslim world, particularly Iran, Bosnia, Afghanistan, Turkey, Central Asia and the Indian subcontinent, it is the name commonly given to local Islamic clerics or mosque leaders.”

Allamah also spelled Allameh and Allama, is an honorary title carried by only the very highest scholars of Islamic thought, jurisprudence, and philosophy. It is used as an honorific in Sunni Islam as well as in Twelver Shia Islam. The caliphate has throughout history been an important symbolic focus of unity for Muslims, and since its abolition several pan-Islamic congresses have attempted to establish a rightful caliph.

Obama is seen as a uniter, a bridge from the past to the future, a scholar, and a person of diverse origins, able to understand all peoples. From what I have read of Obama’s life, he seems to be able to fulfill the titles the Pakistani Ayatollah has readily prepared for him. Qualifications aside, that Obama has been deemed acceptable by a respected former member of the Muslim Ideological Council is tremendously significant theologically.

We know that the False Prophet paves the way for the Antichrist to be worshiped, and the vehicle for that worship is the Mark. (Rev 13:11-17). Is the call by Ayatollah Durrani for Obama to become Caliph really the first call from satan to his false prophet?

Giant Mecca clock seeks to call time on Greenwich

In Daniel 7 quite a bit is revealed about the antichrist. We know that he will emerge from the 4th of four great world kingdoms as described in Daniel 2’s statue of Nebuchadnezzar, the 4th being the iron legs of the statue. The Roman Empire was split in 330AD to include two capital cities, Rome, and Constantinople. Constantinople was later renamed Istanbul. Istanbul is in Turkey, which is 99.8% Muslim. It has been my theory that the antichrist could be a Muslim (or seeming-Muslim.) In any case…

In Daniel 7:25 we are told the antichrist will do some things:

“He shall speak pompous words against the Most High, Shall persecute the saints of the Most High, And shall intend to change times and law. Then the saints shall be given into his hand for a time and times and half a time.”

Changing the times…likely means the appointed times of God’s Holy Days and Feasts, as the antichrist will never cease oppressing the saints as they try to worship. But could a first step of that coming oppression and hindrance against the saints in the path to obliterating the Judeo-Christian ethic be an attempt to change the time? Is one way to do that by Islam insinuating itself in supremacy and control of a basic reality under which we all operate: time itself? This challenge by Islam is in any regard an aggressive one, and something sad to see as we view Christianity declining, as the bible said it would in 2 Thessalonians 2:3.

We can feel the changes ahead, see the prophetic puzzle pieces coming together. We can peek around the prophetic corner and know that soon, our Messiah will be calling us to “COME UP HITHER!”

I listened to an interesting speech (harangue) from Nigel Farage, UK Independent Party. He was speaking at the European Union Parliament building in Brussels yesterday and he had quite a lot to say about the EU’s new President, Herman Van Rompuy, pictured left. Mr Farage is getting press because of the following statement in his minute-and-a-half long speech:

“I don’t want to be rude but, really, you have the charisma of a damp rag and the appearance of a low-grade bank clerk,” Mr Farage said to Mr Van Rompuy.” That sentence is getting all the quoting, and the personal insults by Mr Farage levered against Mr Van Rompuy are getting the attention. However that was not the most interesting part. I transcribed the part most pertinent to prophecy followers below:

Mr Farage said: “We were told that when we had a President we’d see a giant global political figure. The man would be the political leader for 500 million people. The man that would represent all of us on the world stage. The man whose job who was so important, that of course you’re paid more than President Obama. And I’m afraid all we got was you. … The question that I want to ask is who are you? I never heard of you. No one in Europe has ever heard of you. Who voted for you? I know that democracy isn’t popular with you. What mechanism do the peoples of Europe have to remove you? Is this European democracy? … I sense though that you’re competent, capable, and dangerous. I have no doubt that it is your intention to be the quiet assassin of European democracy and of the European nation states. You appear to have a loathing for the very concept of the existence of nation states.”

This is extremely pertinent to the Tribulation times when the antichrist will rise and rule the world. Now, the bible is clear, we will not know who the antichrist is until he is revealed as per Matthew 24:14-16 so there is no use speculating on who he is and whether Mr Van Rompuy is him or not. “Secondly, Mr Van Rompuy is likely not a candidate for antichrist because the scriptures say that the antichrist will have fierce countenance and emit amazing charisma, two things Mr Farage noted were lacking in Mr Rompuy.

However, ponder this. All insults aside, Mr Farage was bellowing against the installation of a man who is crafty, skilled at intrigue, hates democracy, and represents 500 million people. Farage was wondering how a man could be put over half a billion people whom no one really knows, who came out of nowhere, from undiscovered quarters and a nothing country. He was raging against the decision-making process that allowed a crafty unknown to take the world stage as supposed savior on the global political scene.

Nigel Farage’s tirade of insults against the President of the EU was not just immature vitriol you’re reading in the news today. Farage was railing against the installation of a man who represents half a billion people, hates democracy, is skilled and crafty at intrigue, came out of nowhere, whom no one really knows, and wasn’t voted in. This is exactly how the antichrist comes to power.

For all those people who mock the scriptures describing the antichrist, what the scriptures describe has happened. It will happen again. And the next time will be for real. Keep looking up! Our redemption draweth nigh.
