(UPDATED)21 MORE volcanoes in Indonesia rumble, Major plate restructuring ahead?

Friday Mr Merapi volcano in Indonesia erupted, an eruption which followed a 7.7 earthquake there. Indonesia sits on the Ring of Fire, a notoriously unstable area in which the earth’s plates (crust) shift, causing the ground to rumble in a way we know as earthquakes.

Then on Saturday, eight volcanoes’ alert status was raised. The eight volcanoes are:
Mount Sinabung, in Karo, North Sumatera;
Mount Talang, Solok, West Sumatera;
Mount Anak Krakatau, Lampung (Child of Krakatau Volcano);
Mount Papandayan, Garut, West Java;
Mount Slamet, Tegal, Central Java;
Mount Dieng, Wonosobo, Central Java;
Mount Semeru, Lumajang, East Java;
Mount Bromo, Probolinggo.

Today an additional 21 Indonesian volcanoes’ alert levels were raised, along with all the geologists’ eyebrows.

“Deafening explosions of hot gas rattled evacuees miles (kilometers) from an Indonesian volcano Monday, the latest eruption in a deadly week. The country reported increased rumblings at 21 other active volcanoes, raising questions about what’s causing the uptick along some of the world’s most volatile fault lines.
The government has raised alert levels of 21 other volcanos to the second- and third- highest levels in the last two months because they have shown an increase in activity, said Syamsul Rizal, a state volcanologist, said Monday. Many of those are already rumbling and belching out heavy black ash. Indonesia has several volcanos smoldering at any given time, but another government volcanologist, Gede Swantika, said that normally only five to 10 would be at the third-highest alert level — which indicates an increase in seismic activity and visible changes in the crater. It is rare for any to be at second-highest — which signifies an eruption is possible within two weeks. He said monitors noticed more volcanos were exhibiting seismic activity starting Sept. 2. Geophysicist Pall Einarsson of the University of Iceland said that such an increase could be an indication that some of the volcanos — if any are very close — could be affecting one another. He said this idea is a new one for volcanologists, but they are increasingly seeing evidence of interplay between neighboring mountains. Geologist Brent McInnes said as he hadn’t seen the raw data but would find such a rash of volcanic activity significant.”

So here is a summary of the above: they don’t know what’s happening. Even the most normal theory of  ‘they are triggering each other’ is new to them…

There is talk on the internet of a seismic event that took place this morning that was felt or picked up by seismograph machines from coast to coast. I can’t nail this one down but I do find it unusual to say the least. Except, all this crustal activity is not unusual. God told us this would be happening, through Jesus, and through Isaiah. Jesus’ LONGEST answer to the disciples on any topic or any question was the Olivet Discourse. It is so named because they were atop Mount of Olives when this lengthy discussion occurred. He sat down with them and answered their query as to the signs of the end of the age in Mt 24. In verse 7-8 Jesus said: “For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes. But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs.”

Isaiah 24: 19-20 says-

“The earth is broken asunder,
         The earth is split through,
         The earth is shaken violently.
The earth reels to and fro like a drunkard
         And it totters like a shack,
         For its transgression is heavy upon it,
         And it will fall, never to rise again.”

When the number of volcanoes exhibiting activity is five times the normal level, when the scientists scratch their heads and say they simply do not know, when they say though that the activity indicates a plate shift, when they exclaim in their typical understated fashion with words like  “significant,” and we look at the bible and KNOW that the end of the end times will be exhibiting these things, we have to believe that these are unusual times, end times. And the scientists who wonder if a major plate restructuring is ahead? We can definitely say: YES.

There are no codes in the bible

I hear people all the time say that there are bible codes. That there is some secret, esoteric knowledge hidden within the 66 books of the bible that only people perspicacious enough can unlock and benefit from. This is bunk. God is not the author of confusion and He laid everything out plainly within those pages, so that His knowledge, plan, and wisdom for us would be clear.

They cite, for example, Bullinger, who derived a whole system of meanings from numbers in scripture. Some numbers do have meaning, but not to the extent Bullinger worked up. And anyway, Bullinger believed that the soul died between life and resurrection. He was also an ultradispensationalist, believing that (among other things) the church did not begin at Pentecost but at Paul’s conversion. With these deep errors, can you believe the rest of what this man says?

In another code, “The Bible Code”, it is purported in a paper by Yoav Rosenberg that there was strong statistical evidence that biographical information about famous rabbis was encoded in the text of the Bible, centuries before those rabbis lived. Yeah. Right. Wikipedia says of the method of extracting the meaning from the coded language is “the Equidistant Letter Sequence (ELS). To obtain an ELS from a text, choose a starting point (in principle, any letter) and a skip number, also freely and possibly negative. Then, beginning at the starting point, select letters from the text at equal spacing as given by the skip number. For example, the bold letters in this sentence form an ELS. With a skip of -4, and ignoring the spaces and punctuation, the word safest is spelled out.”

Of course, the primary fault with Bullinger’s numerical code and Rosenberg’s word codes is that the Holy Spirit is taken out of the equation. Believing in codes means man in his own mental acuity can unlock the secrets of the bible, the Spirit is not needed…which is exactly the opposite of what God said would be so.

The question is, “Are there hidden codes in the bible?” The answer is NO. John Macarthur addressed this question quite well. His short answer is below.

One of the foundational qualities of the Bible is its clarity (sometimes called perspicuity). That means Scripture’s main teachings are plain enough to be understood without the need of special expertise or church-sanctioned interpretations.

The Bible frequently speaks about its own clarity. Psalm 119:130 says, “The unfolding of Thy words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple.” The average person who humbly reads the Bible can say, “I have more insight than all my teachers, for Thy testimonies are my meditation” (Psalm 119:99). Psalm 19:7 teaches, “The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.”

The idea of hidden codes in the Bible contradicts all of that by limiting accessibility to the real message of the Bible to so-called experts who can decipher the cryptic messages God “hid” in the Scriptures. But such “experts” aren’t needed because the Bible contains no hidden codes.

One hidden-code theory works like a common word-search puzzle–hidden messages are supposedly embedded diagonally within the Hebrew text. But that’s as foolish as turning your daily newspaper into a word-search puzzle and expecting to find meaningful stories hidden in it. Newspapers aren’t written to convey messages in secret code, and neither was the Bible. Both should be read using ordinary rules of language.

Of course there are concepts in the Bible that are hard to understand–even the apostle Peter admitted that (2 Peter 3:15). But the way to discover the meaning of those hard passages is not by seeking out hidden messages, but by engaging in diligent study that accurately handles the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15).

Take heart! The Bible is clear and even the most untrained reader can understand it. God wants you to understand the Bible, and He has provided the Holy Spirit as a guide. After all, “man does not live by bread alone, but…by everything that proceeds out of the mouth of the LORD” (Deuteronomy 8:3).

The LORD is not the author of confusion (1 Cor 14:33) but reveals Himself to one and all. If you have the Holy Spirit in you, you have an equal chance to understand what He wrote in it as anyone else. As MacArthur said, prayer, study, and diligence will “unlock” His Word. Not codes. If you believe codes exist in the bible then you accept that the Spirit is out of the equation and people like Bullinger have extra advanced knowledge that you must rely on HIM to unlock for you. No, let it not be so!

Giant crater opens in Germany, swallows car

I’ve been writing for months (here, here, here,) about how the geological changes on the earth’s crust in the form of sinkholes, cracks, earthquakes and the like are symptoms of what Isaiah has said WILL happen in the Tribulation. Isaiah prophesies that at the last days the earth will crack up. Prior to that, the geo-landforms on top of the earth and underneath it will undergo catastrophic changes. Islands will sink. Mountains will collapse. It has been my opinion that these events as birth pangs are increasing in advance of the tribulation, making themselves more and more known, as birth pangs do. The earth as we see it will be modified.

“The earth reels like a drunkard, it sways like a hut in the wind; so heavy upon it is the guilt of its rebellion that it falls–never to rise again.” (Is 24:20)

We know this is future prophecy because the earth has never reeled like a drunkard, never to rise again.

Well, another massive sinkhole has opened up, this time in Germany:
Giant crater opens up and swallows car in eastern Germany
“A super-sized pothole 20 meters (66 feet) deep suddenly formed early Monday morning in the town of Schmalkalden in the state of Thuringia in eastern Germany.  One car precariously stood at the edge of the hole while another had already been lost to bottom of the pit. Yet the homes surrounding the crater remained standing and no one was injured. Several homes in the neighborhood were evacuated and officials warned that more earth could collapse around the hole.
Officials perturbed
Lutz Katschmann of the state of Thuringia’s environment and geology office said the plan would be to fill in the crater as soon as possible. He said it wasn’t clear why the ground had collapsed…”

"Inner life of the Cell" – God is a powerful Creator!

Harvard’s “Inner Life of the Cell” is a success story in unexpected viral interest. Originally developed for classroom education, it went viral on the internet after a showing in 2006 at the Siggraph Electronic Theater. The clip below is the shortened version (3 min, from 8 min) and contains the beautiful musical soundtrack. Watching this with the Creator in mind as the One who planned us down to the cell and beyond, brings tears to my eyes. Evolutionists believe the cell activity evident in the animation was developed by accident over time. Yet how can such a bustle of activity in each cell be happenstance? It cannot.

While watching the video, I feel moved beyond description, and it is because I am seeing my insignificance compared to His wonderful Glory

“When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?” (Psalms 8:3-4)

That though this is an animation I trust that it accurately depicts the life of the smallest parts of our body, and  I know: “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” (Ephesians 2:10)

I praise Him! “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” (Revelation 4:11)

The bible is replete with statements attesting to His power, creativity, and glory in creating all there is, “I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded.” (Isaiah 45:12)

Please take encouragement from this video, which illustrates His power and in so doing, remember, though we are insignificant compared to Him, He created us to have a relationship with Him. I pray yours deepens today, and if you do not know Him, begin a relationship today by asking Him to forgive your wrongs and to take you unto Himself as saved sinner, and His friend.

A busy week for volcanoes: and Krakatau is waking up

First Katla was having a quake swarm, then Merapi erupted, now Krakatau is showing signs of increased activity. From John Seach at VolcanoLive:

Krakatau Volcano, Indonesia
Activity has increased at Krakatau volcano, Indonesia. Over the past 4 days there has been an increase in explosions at the volcano. Yesterday there were 136 eruptions at the volcano, compared to a recent average of 10 per day. Krakatau volcano has been raised to level 2 alert. Krakatau became famous after the paroxysmal eruption on August 27, 1883. The volcano erupted more than 18 cubic km of ash to a height of 80 km, and produced a tsunami as high as 30 m along the west coast of Banten and south coast of Lampung.  The tsunami hit 295 villages and killed over 36,000 people.”

At Wikipedia, “The island exploded in 1883, killing approximately 40,000 people, although some estimates put the death toll much higher. The explosion is still considered to be the loudest sound ever heard in modern history, with reports of it being heard nearly 3,000 miles from its point of origin. The shock wave from the explosion was recorded on barographs around the globe.” With a Volcanic Explosivity Index (VEI) of 6,[3] the eruption was equivalent to 200 megatons of TNT (840 PJ) — about 13,000 times the nuclear yield of the Little Boy bomb (13 to 16 kt) that devastated Hiroshima, Japan, during World War II and four times the yield of the Tsar Bomba (50 Mt), the largest nuclear device ever detonated. Indonesian fishermen fear the volcano. The following excerpt is Google-translated from Indonesian-

The following from Indonesia Today was posted on Friday, a day before Krakatau’s alert level was also raised, but it explains what a level 2 means:

The eight volcanoes are: (1) Mount Sinabung, in Karo, North Sumatera; (2) Mount Talang, Solok, West Sumatera; (3) Mount Anak Krakatau, Lampung (Child of Krakatau Volcano); (4) Mount Papandayan, Garut, West Java; (5) Mount Slamet, Tegal, Central Java; (6) Mount Dieng, Wonosobo, Central Java; (7) Mount Semeru, Lumajang, East Java; and Mount Bromo, Probolinggo, East Java, detik.com reported on Friday.”

“Level I is “Normal” status, means that there is no magma pressured from beneath the mount. Action recommended is routine observation, survey and study. When a volcano status is raised to Level II status or “Caution”, there is increasing activity above normal level and that there has been seismic activity. Under this situation, actions need to be undertaken include public campaign over the impact on the society if the volcano erupts…”

The third level or Level III is an “Alert” (yellow) status. Under this period, a volcano shows indications to erupt, seismic activity intensifies and that seismic data shows that seismic activity of the mount will continue to eruption level that could cause disaster. The fourth level or Level IV is a “”Danger” or “Red” status. During this period, the volcano shows indication that will soon erupt.”

This week has been a busy one for volcanoes:

“So, maybe I spoke too soon when I mentioned in passing how quiet the fall has been in the world of volcanic eruptions. In less than a week since I said this, we’ve had one of the more dramatic and tragic eruptions in the last decade in Indonesia (more on Merapi’s eruption later today) and, lost in the Merapi news, were two eruptions on Kamchatka Peninsula of Russia. … The first eruption occurred on Sunday, when Kliuchevskoi produced an ash plume that reached over ~30,000 feet…Meanwhile, yesterday Shiveluch produced its own explosive eruption as well. This eruption produced a 32,000 foot ash plume…”

Denver alien enthusiast gets formation of ET commission on ballot: Initiative 300

Denver ordinance addresses the pressing need for Extraterrestrial Awareness. Voters asked to fund an ET commission.

“Shall the voters for the City and County of Denver adopt an Initiated Ordinance to require the creation of an extraterrestrial affairs commission to help ensure the health, safety, and cultural awareness of Denver residents and visitors in relation to potential encounters or interactions with extraterrestrial intelligent beings or their vehicles, and fund such commission from grants, gifts and donations?”

I’ve reported on the UFO phenomenon, saying with recent certain news headlines, “No longer is the topic of UFOs relegated to the fringe, nutjob, and the fruitcake. It is a subject that is taken seriously, discussed formally, and even remarked upon by luminaries such as Stephen Hawking, who recently and matter-of-factly said that it’s likely alien life exists but we should not attempt to make contact.”

But the above really takes the cake. Oops, I should not say that because likely there will be some action taken tomorrow that takes a bigger cake. The Denver Westword blog reported the reasoning behind the initiative- “Over the past week or so, UFO sightings have been reported over Denver, New York City, El Paso and Richmond. Whether any of them are either connected or legitimate Jeff Peckman can’t say — but the man behind Initiative 300, which would establish an extraterrestrial affairs commission, feels that interest is building in regard to the subject of alien life in general, and he hopes it translates to support at the polls. “This could definitely change our perspective on human history, on government, on possibilities for clean energy technology, on cures for cancer of extraterrestrial origin,” he says.”

According to the Denver Government, for this election cycle, the petitioner must collect 4000 signatures and is urged to collect well above that as a cushion. In addition, there are requirements about the timing of the signature collection- not too premature, and not too close to the upcoming election. The benchmarks are high to get an initiative on the ballot and in Denver I’d imagine it is even harder, being a metropolitan area. So Mr Peckman had to work diligently to get his signatures and find 5000 like-minded people to agree with him.

And then we have in the news, ANOTHER formation of an ET Commission, this time in NYC. UFO’s and ET’s are certainly popular.

“There does seem to be an acceleration, an increase in sightings,” he adds — one reason why he was excited to hear about a plan by Michael Luckman, director of the New York Center for Extraterrestrial Research, to launch what an ET ballot measure in the Big Apple.” “Luckman plans to hold a news conference soon in New York City to announce his intentions of starting an ET Ballot Initiative in the Big Apple. He will also be announcing the formation of The Committee for One Thousand Humans to Welcome Extraterrestrials to Earth.” more here

An ET initiative in the Denver AND one coming in New York City? … [shaking head]. I’ll agree that there has been an acceleration in sightings.

In 2 Corinthinans 4:4 Paul wrote, “in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” Satan is the god of the age. Not only does he roam up and down upon the earth as his own, (Job 1:7) but he is also the god of the air: “in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience.” (Eph 2:2). Satan has been given power on the earth, and in the immediate front yard, the air above and around it. He also deceives and has been given power to deceive even the elect if it’s possible. (Rev 12:9; John 8:44; Mark 13:22). He will be performing false signs and wonders (2 Thess 2:9) that the whole world will be astonished by and believe.

Why does it surprise us that the demons could hover in the night sky and appear as they actually are, hyperdimensional apparitions from off-planet? If the Lord would open our eyes like He did for Elisha’s servant, in despair at the seemingly small odds of winning the battle, “Then Elisha prayed and said, “O LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” And the LORD opened the servant’s eyes and he saw; and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.” (2 Kings 6:17), what would WE see? If our eyes were opened is this something close to what we would see? Probably.

Indiana unemployment office adds armed guards (Updated)

Everyone who studies the bible understands explicitly that the Tribulation (Time of Jacob’s Trouble) will be a time of upheaval and war. Everyone who has heard about Revelation but isn’t a believer or hasn’t studied understands implicitly that it will be a time of upheaval and war. Rev 6:4 says–

“And another, a red horse, went out; and to him who sat on it, it was granted to take peace from the earth, and that men would slay one another; and a great sword was given to him.”

But even more than war, look at the last part of the verse again. “take peace from the earth.” A privilege we have been granted (peace) will be taken (purposely removed) from the earth (the ENTIRE earth). This means that there will be nowhere that will experience peace- of any kind- not just war. Armed conflicts of any and all kinds will be the order of the day. Tribal conflicts, armed robberies, protecting one’ self and family by means of violence… The word peace in this context, in the Greek is eirene, meaning a peace (literally or figuratively); by implication, prosperity — one, peace, quietness, rest, welfare. What will be happening is not just the opposite of peace (war), but conflicts of ALL kinds.

If your welfare and personal safety is at risk, you do not have peace. Many Americans say “not here, not us.” But the bible is clear: peace will be taken from the earth. Even, probably especially, America. We can see the precursors to this coming judgment setting up now. I was startled to read the following in today’s news:

Unemployment Offices To Add Armed Guards
“Armed security guards will be on hand at 36 unemployment offices around Indiana in what state officials said is a step to improve safety and make branch security more consistent.  No specific incidents prompted the action, Department of Workforce Development spokesman Marc Lotter told 6News’ Norman Cox. Lotter said the agency is merely being cautious with the approach of an early-December deadline when thousands of Indiana residents could see their unemployment benefits end after exhausting the maximum 99 weeks provided through multiple federal extension periods.”

Look at that crowd. It wouldn’t take much for a mob scene to break out. People who are counting on those checks for their family, to feed their children, to keep a roof over their heads, would start rioting in a moment if they thought money was running low. And this isn’t the first time armed uprisings have been mentioned. Last week Gulf Coast residents got together: Feeling Abandoned, Gulf Coast Residents Issue A Call To Arms

Many fellow Republicans edged away from a candidate who said this week that violent overthrow isn’t out of the question:

GOP Candidate for Congress Says a Violent Overthrow of Government Is ‘On the Table’
“Stephen Broden, a pastor and GOP nominee for Texas’s 30th district, which covers most of Dallas, is not one of those hysterical militant types who wants everyone to go grab their weapons and overthrow the government. No sir. He wants a “revolution,” sure, but at the ballot box. And if that doesn’t work, then okay, an actual revolution. “Republican congressional candidate Stephen Broden stunned his party Thursday, saying he would not rule out violent overthrow of the government if elections did not produce a change in leadership.”

But he wasn’t the only one to be talking this way, Sharron Angle has been saying it for three months:

“LAS VEGAS – There’s no doubt a chunk of the electorate is angry with the federal government. But are voters willing to take up arms? In Nevada, Sharron Angle — the Senate candidate who wants to unseat Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid –seemed to raise that specter in three interviews in the past six months, suggesting that some would seek “Second Amendment remedies” if Congress isn’t reined in.”

Back to the Indiana unemployment office and the arming of the office guards. Take a look at the photo at the top again… and ponder this: The Friday after Thanksgiving is called Black Friday and always comes with giveaways, discounts, and low prices, often for the certain first number of customers who get there. So crowds start lining up and often there is a police presence to quell the agitated and excited crowds. In 2008, a Wal-Mart worker was killed in the stampede to get to the toys.

“A worker died after being trampled and a woman miscarried when hundreds of shoppers smashed through the doors of a Long Island Wal-Mart Friday morning, witnesses said. The unidentified worker, employed as an overnight stock clerk, tried to hold back the unruly crowds just after the Valley Stream store opened at 5 a.m.”

Now below we see that people are so poor now, that they line up at midnight to check out at Wal-Mart because that is the hour their paycheck, or unemployment check, or food stamps is clicked into their bank accounts. It’s when the money becomes available. Look at the crowd buying baby food and diapers at midnight:

Ponder this: if unemployment offices are arming, what do you think will be the next logical place that riots and armed conflict could break out? If people kill for a laptop on Black Friday, what do you think they will do if they think they can’t get food for their baby? (Peace will be taken from the earth.) If you ever saw a crowd go bonkers at a movie premiere trying to grab the free poster, then you know that getting money, currency, food, or other necessities will likely take a gun to either get or to protect. (Peace will be taken from the earth.) The French have been rioting for weeks at the thought of having the retirement age raised by two years.

Peace will be taken from the earth! But YOU do not have to be on the earth at the time peace will be taken from it. You can appeal to the Savior, and ask Him to forgive your sins. It is your sin that is keeping you from heaven, and from a relationship with your Creator. If you humbly and sincerely ask Him to forgive them and ask Him to help you change, He will send the Holy Spirit to indwell you and make that change from rebellion against God to a productive citizen of His kingdom. It’s your choice.  Peace is a good thing. And ultimately, only Jesus offers it.

Looking to and fro as prophecy pops all over the place

Here is an idea. It formed in my head as I have been watching prophecy the last few weeks. (I’ve been watching prophecy for four years but it’s the last few weeks I’ve noticed something particular…). It’s something that came to mind as I was looking at the different events occurring in the world. But first, the verse and its standard, accepted interpretation:

“But as for you, Daniel, conceal these words and seal up the book until the end of time; many will go back and forth, and knowledge will increase.” (Dan 12:4)

Clarke says “Shut up the words, and seal the book – When a prophet received a prediction concerning what was at a considerable distance of time, he shut his book, did not communicate his revelation for some time after. This Daniel was commanded to do, Daniel 8:26. See also Isaiah 29:10, Isaiah 29:11; Revelation 22:10. Many shall run to and fro – Many shall endeavour to search out the sense; and knowledge shall be increased by these means; though the meaning shall not be fully known till the events take place: Then the seal shall be broken, and the sense become plain.”

Matthew Henry says, “Then this hidden treasure [prophecy that has been sealed] shall be opened, and many shall search into it, and dig for the knowledge of it, as for silver. They shall run to and fro, to enquire out copies of it, shall collate them, and see that they be true and authentic. They shall read it over and over, shall meditate upon it, and run it over in their minds; discurrent-they shall discourse of it, and talk it over among themselves, and compare notes about it, if by any means they may sift out the meaning of it; and thus knowledge shall be increased.”

So, it seems clear that the verse means just what it says, that knowledge will increase. The word ‘knowledge’ is translated from the Greek: had·da·’at– to push forth; (but used only figuratively) to lash, i.e. (the sea with oars) to row; by “implication, to travel — go (about, through, to and fro), mariner, rower, run to and fro.

Now for what I have noticed. It’s simply a visual picture in my head as I see the headlines roll past on a daily basis. There are many events happening in the world, such as financial disasters, natural disasters…constantly, and all over the place from north to south and east to west. For example, while we were looking at the quake swarm in Arkansas, an earthquake off Indonesia happened. While we watched Iceland’s volcano Katla wake up, a volcano erupted in Indonesia. While we expect warring skirmishes to occur in the Middle East, France erupted in riots. While we were watching the locust plague hatch in Australia, a cyclone and tornado hit Chicago.

I picture us who watch prophecy as a tennis audience, with the ball going back and forth, to and fro, and our heads swinging left and right as we try and keep up with the ball. Many heads are going to and fro nowadays, looking here and there at all the things happening! Meanwhile, I picture the events of the world as precursors to the coming judgment, happening more and more frequently and more and more intensely, as birthpangs do. Though Daniel said people would be going to and fro, I believe that is a literal interpretation.

I think time is short, friends. Short. When the Blessed Hope arrives we will all be changed in the blink of an eye…forever to serve with him as co-heirs!

More on Skyline the movie

This morning I re-posted a Rapture Ready essay called The Great Lie, by Carl Worline. In it, the author discussed an upcoming big budget Hollywood movie in which aliens have come to earth, and suck people up into their light. The author had made the supposition that though we do not know what ‘the great lie’ is that Paul describes in the bible, one possible answer for what the great lie may be is the explanation given to people after the rapture, that aliens sucked up people into the light. Here is the verse: “Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all the powers and signs and lying wonders, and with all deceivableness in them that perish; because they receive not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie. That they might be damned who believe not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” (2 Thessalonians 2:9-12)

I don’t know what the great lie is, though more likely the lie is that the antichrist is the Messiah.  However, there will need to be an explanation for the rapture, and the aliens taking us all is as good an explanation as any. We do know without a doubt that satan is working overtime these days to oppress the human population with satanic ideas. This movie is one of those satanic ideas. See if you don’t agree with me after reading the next few sentences:

Since this morning, I have looked at the trailer myself, and note with interest that there are several places where taglines are inserted. A few seconds into the movie, in a scene where a man and woman are awakened at 4:37 am by a weird bright light, he goes to the window to check it out, and he disappears. Another guy comes running in asking what happened. The tearful and petrified woman cries, “he just…disappeared!”

A few seconds later, a tagline of white block print over a black screen says “You haven’t seen the light.”

At the end of the trailer, after many more people from the earth are sucked up into the light, the tagline says, “Don’t look up.”

What the bible says about the Light is the following: “Put your trust in the light while you have it, so that you may become sons of light.” (John 12:36) and “For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” (2 Corinthians 4:6) and of course, Isaiah 9:2, The people walking in darkness have seen a great light;” but this movie tells us ‘we haven’t seen the light’.

The other scriptural parallel to the movie’s taglines is its command, ‘don’t look up.’ It is the exact opposite of the command of what Jesus told us to do, He said to look up. “So when all these things begin to happen, stand and look up, for your salvation is near!” (Luke 21:28)

To sum up: satan’s movie Skyline tells us that being sucked up into the light is horrible, not to look at it, and that we haven’t seen it. That after the mass disappearances the united, the remaining population must make “our last stand”. Got it? No!

Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness,

Will the movie ‘Skyline’ mirror reality? Will the world believe aliens sucked us away from earth?

The Great Lie

On November 12, 2010, Universal Pictures will release a new movie entitled Skyline, which deals with alien spacecraft that suck up the humans who look into the bright blue light these spacecraft project, and then vanish. I believe this movie is more than just the product of the wild imaginations of some clever science fiction writers who seek nothing more than to entertain the public and win an academy award for themselves for best picture (but not in that order). I believe this movie may very well play an important role in end time prophecy.

Whether or not intelligent life exists on other worlds is irrelevant in this article and I will not debate the issue here. What is significant is that reports of unidentified flying objects has been around since the beginning of history with literally millions of people reporting to have seen them, yet official contact with their occupants has (supposedly) never been established. Our government, as well as governments around the world, have vehemently denied the existence of alien spacecraft. In fact, the vehemence in which governments have denied their existence builds a strong case for an official worldwide cover-up conspiracy, which makes the possibility of the existence of extra terrestrial life even more believable.

The Rapture of the Church is certain to cause a worldwide panic as an unbelieving public scrambles to explain the disappearance of hundreds of millions of people in an instant. We also know that the anti-Christ will be revealed and empowered immediately after the Rapture. 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 tells us that the anti-Christ will tell a lie and that God will send a strong delusion so that all of the unbelievers who are left on the Earth after the Rapture will believe this lie:

Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all the powers and signs and lying wonders, and with all deceivableness in them that perish; because they receive not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie. That they might be damned who believe not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

What is this lie? The Bible doesn’t tell us, but I can certainly make an educated guess. On September 21, 1987, President Ronald Reagan made what I consider to be a very prophetic statement when he told the Forty Second Session of the General Assembly of the United Nations “How quickly our differences worldwide would vanish if we were facing an alien threat from outside this world.” I believe this great lie will be that alien beings from another world abducted the millions of people who just vanished.

Chapter 13 of Revelation also tells us that the anti-Christ will tell a lie that will cause the entire world to willingly follow him. I am at a loss to think of any other lie which the anti-Christ could use that would cause the remaining population of the Earth to forget their differences so quickly and unite with him.

On March 16, 1979, a movie about a nuclear accident and related cover-up was released by Columbia Pictures entitled The China Syndrome. That was just 12 days before the Three Mile Island nuclear accident in Pennsylvania. Many dozens of nuclear scientists have since lined up to say that despite the accident at Three Mile Island nuclear power is still safe. Nevertheless, the public has chosen to believe Jane Fonda, Jack Lemmon, and Michael Douglas over the legion of scientists who all have the title “PhD after their name. As a result, the development of nuclear power has all but ceased in the United States as well as many other countries around the world. The power of Hollywood to influence the masses cannot be underestimated and can easily trump the logic and reason of science.

Before I start to sound too condescending I need to confess that many years ago I attended some Star Trek conventions. I know there is no such thing as the Star Ship Enterprise, the Federation of Planets does not exist, and most of the technology that I witnessed on the show was Hollywood illusion and trickery. But still, I saw the characters in real life and even shook hands with some them. For a brief moment the line between reality and fiction seemed to get a bit fuzzy.

The release of a new movie from Hollywood does not, in itself, mean the end of the world is upon us. However, I cannot help but wonder if it is just me, or is there a lot going on in the UFO community all opf a sudden that somehow suspiciously suggests that something big is about to happen. For example:

· Almost 400 years after it imprisoned Galileo under threat of torture for challenging the view that the Earth was the center of the universe, the Vatican announced that the existence of intelligent extra-terrestrial life may be possible.

· The Popes’ astronomer said that he would baptize an alien from another world if it asked him to.

· After many decades of silence a group of retired nuclear officers have recently come forward to announce that alien spacecraft visited military installations and disarmed nuclear warheads on intercontinental ballistic missiles.

· On September 11, 2010 a UFO forced the closure of an airport in Baotau, Mongolia, for approximately 1 hour while other air traffic was diverted to prevent commercial airliners from crashing into it. On July 7, 2010 the Xiaoshan airport in Hangzhou , China, was closed for approximately 1 hour due to a UFO hovering above it. There have been a total of 8 reports of major UFO sightings in China during a 4 month period.

· Astronomers recently announced that they are “100 percent certain” that alien life exists on Earth-like planets.

· Theoretical physicist and cosmologist Stephen Hawking, presumably one of the smartest men on the planet, recently felt compelled to declare to the world that he is almost certain that alien life exists in other parts of the universe and that we should avoid contact with such species because it might be devastating to humanity.

· The United Nations has an Office of Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA). Recent articles in the media both confirm and deny the existence of an ambassador at this office to be the designated representative who makes first contact with intelligent alien life from another planet.

Maybe all of the events which are now occurring are merely a coincidence and my feeling of being bombarded by a preponderance of suggestions about the potential existence of evil alien life as the cause of the impending Rapture of the Church are unfounded. In less than a month the movie Skyline will be released and millions of moviegoers will witness everyday people being snatched up into alien spacecraft in high definition living color on a wide screen with the most realistic surround sound that our technology can produce. Will this sow the seeds of suggestion in the minds of millions of people around the world? I think so. Is the Rapture closer than most people think? I am absolutely convinced of that.
